I hate to bust it to you, but 2020 is considered legit no matter how much you deny it. You or any other fanbase doesn't determine legitimacy with the record books. It counts and always will...

I’m pretty sure there’s an * by it in the official book of records.

2020 is more legit than about any other. All SEC schedule and the fact their were less spectators in some games only serves to prove the game was about the 2 teams on a more level playing field. Plus, coaching staffs managing their team was more important than ever and nobody managed a team better than Saban. If the 2024 Alabama staff had been coaching that year there is no way we’d have won.

See, this shows just how much you know about it. You’re throwing sht against the wall to see what sticks, and this ain’t sticking.

The ncaa doesn’t have an official record of major college football champions because there isn’t a legit playoff like the lower divisions have. NCAA.com isn’t actually a ncaa site but it’s unbiased and about as reasonable as can be expected

That's about as much of a cope as saying it didn't count.

Asterisks doesn't remove it or make it not count. If that's what it meant, it would not even recognize it. No different than the Dodgers winning the WS. The record books still count it. Same with the college baseball WS. It still counts.

I don't know about all this but I do know the LSU coach took the 2020 Alabama game very seriously

this is one of those scenarios where bama fans try to play the little ol' us underdog card, then when it happeens they can pretend it was some unbelievable feat.

Bama will undoubtedly start 3-0 so not sure there should be any eyebrow raising at that. As for game 4, I won't predict UGA to beat bama anytime soon until I see it happen with any kind of frequency. We are coming off a relatively "down" year (the results may not show it but anyone that watched us last yera could see the massive drop down from our 2023 version) and are breaking in an undersized QB that has a painfully slow release, to go along with a mediocre OL and only 1 RB that has done anything of note. Soooooo yeah...alabama starting 4-0 wouldn' be a surprise at all actaully.

This will be the END of any talk of a UGA dynasty.

the only talk about that is from bama fans, claiming that one doesn't exist. No UGA fans think we have any kind of dynasty. We had a remarkable "one for the record books" run from 2021-2023 but that doesn't constitute a dynasty.

Bama was so good under saban that yall have to resort to inventing and manufacturing arguments to counter even when nobody is actually saying them.

Harvey would have hated Missouri. We've got too many trees that would be out to get him. kansas however? He would have been right at home out in the middle of that vast hell.

That wasn't the year NC State had to drop out due to COVID cases or was that 2021?

That was 2021. The college baseball season was cancelled in 2020.

They’re still pissed about Alabama playing in the 2023 playoffs, they think at their expense.
There's probably not a meaningful player from that 2023 FSU team still in Tallahassee.

Now they might feel they have something to prove after going 2-10 last year...
