The umpire, Scott Kennedy, went down after being hit by a foul off the bat of Brennan Holt. He was on the ground for several minutes being tended to by trainers from both teams. He was eventually able to walk off the field with help at Sewell-Thomas Stadium in the May 1 game.

It is the year 2026 and the best video we have of this is someone posting a recording of a tv on a cell phone on twitter.
Wild!

I don't know if they were filming that in real time, but they don't seem to be too concerned about the injured human unconcious on the ground.

Trainers from both dugouts got out there with the quickness and the folks that would have just been in the way got out of their way. That’s how it should work.

Bammers didn't even give the man applause as he walked off the field. Shame on you Bammers.

It looked like a crowd of 5, maybe to hard to hear it.

In their defense quite literally the worst time to have a game. 12:30 in the afternoon with commencement this evening and all of the students vacating their dorms. We loaded up my daughter’s room and hauled it home this morning.
Rescheduled due to weather, I must add.

You could hear their gasps quite well.

So it just squared him up in the mask and it knocked him out?

TKO. Hit him absolutely flush and his body put him to sleep.

What fans? Place looks empty. Glad he’s ok.

It was a regular season day game on a cloudy, cool weekday. Most baseball fans have jobs, and Alabama baseball isn’t good enough to skip work for. Especially if it isn’t a pretty day.

Shouldn't the facemask also protect the neck so that never happens?

Do you just think everyone is blind? You can clearly see people applauding in the video you shared.

I literally thought he had died when he first fell back. His mask rolling away was eerie too. Was there an update on him this morning?

Why they got 17 people in the stands as a top 25 team?
Posted on 5/2/26 at 11:41 am to ManBearSharkReb
Two people have already answered that.
