Yeah they need to thank us. They are not creative enough to find their own good head coach. They had to go get an LSU coach.

Well at least we didn’t go to Michigan state.

LSU had 4 victories over the final top 10 fwiw (2009 bama had 3 with 1 less game, 2020 bama will also have 4 with a victory monday). Impressive, but call that what it is. A great season against a tough schedule. You can't justify calling it the greatest team when 20% of their games were decided by a single score.

FACTS

They like to count rankings from the preseason or when they played. I would too if I was trying to compensate for 1-9 over the past decade.

Nah. Go find the "close games" for '95 nebraska and '01 Miami.

Nebraska 95 was the best team I've ever seen. Zero close calls (though a different time as far as the rules and how the game has changed).

'01 Miami was phenomenal, but they almost lost TWO games (both to 8-4 teams). Miami beat VT 26-24 in the last game of the regular season and VT threw a pick in Miami territory in the last drive of the 4th quarter. BC had the ball at the Miami 9-yard-line trailing 12-7 with 20 seconds and Miami intercepted a pass that bounced off a players knee near the goal-line and returned it for a TD. And BC sat out thwir best player who led the nation in rushing.

Miami only beat two teams with a better record than 8-4. The highest ranked team they beat was Nebraska who finished #8 and was ranked #4 when they played in the Rose Bowl.

FACT.... because of the run LSU had last year, bama fans don't care about stats. They want to compare 2020 bama stats to 2019 LSU stats because 2020 bama played all SEC. Same with Smith. The kid was lights out this year and bama fans want to drag nutts on Chase because he opted out. Which is what he did within the guidelines of opting out.

These bama fans are hypocrites.

FACTS

Actually, as I pointed out earlier, this is wrong. LSU beat 5 of the final top 8 teams by an average of 20 points per game and beat 7 of the final top 25 which is the most ever (and aTm was #26).

No team ever had the ball with a chance to take the lead in the 4th quarter against LSU, and in post-season, they beat UGA, OU and Clemson by an average of 26 points per game (with Georgia finishing with the #1 scoring D while Clemson finished at #3).

On the way to the title, they snapped Bama's 31-game winning streak at Bryant-Denny, snapped and Clemson's 29-game winning streak and broke 10 playoff records in the OU game including most points, most yards and most TDs by a player with Burrow having 8 TDs. Pretty strong.

Not really. I Watched Mich state beat down a good Notre dame team in 99? I think. He had sparty headed for big things. I thought this coach knows his stuff.
When LSU hired him I knew he would change things there.

How people think he was a total unknown...I guess they didn't keep up with football then. Saban was WELL respected in the football world before he ever sniffed Louisiana air.

"fielded the greatest CFB team in the history of the game."

Only LSU fans buy this. They were two onside kicks away from losing two games. As a pundit on Sirius radio said just this morning. The greatest team ever doesn't finish 3rd from last in defense.

Nebraska 95 would have broken LSU 2019 into four pieces and then they would have played the 2nd half.

You can make a case that LSU had the most efficient passing game ever...and that's a stretch...but the best TEAM, TEAM....no way.

Saban did great at LSU, however post Saban LSU has 3 appearances in title games and 2 additional championships.

What ever BAMA fans say I can promise you playing LSU yearly is their toughest game with Auburn being a very close second.

SABAN has created the best modern day football program and deserves all the accolades that can be given.

Only L1U counts appearances. We don't count the title games Saban made but lost. Ridiculous.

Level of competition matters.

95 Nebraska - 4 top 10 (1 top 5)wins
01 Miami - 1 top 10 (1 top 5)win
19 LSU - 7 top 10 (4 top 5)wins

GOAT status confirmed

Your Sirius radio pundit has his years mixed up.

That was this year, not the 2019.
