Why would you think that? But yea, it's a pretty horrible time to be building a giant hundred million dollar project considering every raw material and personnel cost is 150-175% more expensive than it was 3-5 years ago.

Approved by the Board. As to money, I seriously thought if any school could afford it, then it would be Bama.
When asked about the new basketball arena, which was approved by the UA Board of Trustees in February, Bell said the university is looking to move forward with plans but at a slower rate to assess constructions cost challenges that have affected the start of the process.

You’d know about broke after what A&M did.

We've been talking about a new arena since the late '80s/early '90s.
There's always some fricking excuse.
But I hear Coleman has "good bones."

Not what it says.
The process is still going forward and bids are going out.
Alabama currently has $763.8 million in ongoing renovations and construction.

SEC championship week, LSU is playing and almost all of your few posts are about Bama. aTm took some of that luster off of what the Bama win did for you.

Costs are never coming down. Better build it before they go up more.

Are you kidding?
NIL just drove the cost of buying all those teams through the roof.
Saban is no longer the only game in town with a new car and a glovebox full of cash.

LSU is quite literally broke.
Their governor threatened to shut down LSU programs due to budget issues. Staff and employees have complained about salaries.
Their students had to start a GoFundMe to fix a crumbling roof of a library.

Call the REC. They are good at nullifying holds.

Oh. They’d spend the money if it was for football. The project would be well under way. But any other sport usually has to wait way too long.
Look at baseball. They waited 15 years too long, as the arms race in SEC baseball had been going on for a decade.

Correct, and not debatable. If this was something for football it would have broken ground the day after it was announced and be wrapping up right about now. Nobody would give two shites about changes in costing.
It is what it is.
