I like the over, but is there bad weather?

Both teams seem explosive.

61 does not seem like much for these two teams.

Based on the forecast today, doesn’t look like heavy rains will be a factor. If anything there would be some misting in the second half.

Forecast has continued to trend drier. Doesn’t mean there couldn’t be some rain showers, but it doesn’t look like a heavy rain event that will last most of the game.

I agree, considering the spread isn't massive (less than a TD) and if we're looking at 61 then that almost assuredly means one of these teams is held below 30 points (considering Alabama averages 48 and Mississippi State averages 43, one would think they would have a much greater spread and the thinking is that at least one of the teams' offenses is smoke and mirrors).

Both have mobility at the QB position.

Bama has more pieces at RB, but the MSU Bouthwell(?) looks like an all SEC level back.

Bama has no issues scoring. MSU is on the home turf.

Of course since I think it’s easy over, it will end up being 26 to 12 or something.

The MSU OL has a few questionable pieces. One was a 3rd teamer at BAMA.

Yeah i think MSU are still figuring out their options at LT.

Bama has a couple pass rushers trying to play their way into the 1st round with Pierre and Thompkins.

That seems to be the biggest mismatch.

The betting gods typically say that if all signs point to a high scoring matchup like the above…

…. then this will be the outcome.

Alabama has 2 former Mississippi State players and neither one were great. It's like scheme and fit matters. McVay is decent for us.

It’s a big concern for State but to be fair they’ve played three really good pass rushers in a row, had some issues but survived each one of them.

Don’t know if that’s a sign that they’re on borrowed time with that LT issue or if it means they’re good enough to overcome it. Probably some of both.

I don't think both teams score over 30, but I could easily see something like a 42-28 finish. The over seems like the best bet to me. But do yourself a favor and stay far away from any betting advice I might give you.

I think they’re going to go score for score in the first half and into the third quarter exactly similar to our game in the regular season against ole Miss last year then again just like that game where we shut them down in the 4th bama will do the same and win by 7-10.

Hope I’m wrong though go state

James has been solid at RT. KBJ is a solid depth piece on the DL. Both are contributing to the success of this year's team.

Would they be starting if they were still at Miss St?

McVay definitely wouldn't be starting at LT for Bama. Maybe at RT, I have no idea.
