re: Bama making it in over Texas...fair or not?

In 2011, Bama insisted that bad losses should eliminate a team. OSU lost to a 6-6 team (end of regular season record of ISU) in OT in road.

Bama had the “quality” loss and less games, so they clearly deserved to go over them.

Now Bama can ignore bad losses and focus on having more wins.

You misunderstood my post. SEC teams have been beating up on each other for years with much harder SOS than other conferences and then being compared to other teams at the end of the season by simply looking at # of W's and L's.

Bama goes in to UGA and beats them straight up on their own field.

Texas goes in to UGA and gets anally raped.

In no way should Texas even be considered over Bama regardless of the outcome this weekend.

Yep. I'd leave them both out. But if I had to pick one, Bama is clearly, CLEARLY in over Texas.

So if you think a SEECG loss should drop Georgia to 11th, then you are saying an SECCG loss should drop Bama to 19th. That I can agree with,

Not illogical as a&m would only have 1 loss and UGA would have 2. Simple facts nothing more.

If Alabama loses the SECCG and drop out of the playoffs so be it. The reality is if we cannot step up and win I doubt we go far in the playoffs.

My only issue with being left out at that end is there is no way that 1 possibly 2 g6 teams should be allowed in the playoffs.


What I am tired of hearing about is the talking heads is who or how many ranked teams P4 teams are playing or winning/losing because even a loss is better than about any win a g6 team is getting.

The only way a g6 team should get a guaranteed spot in the playoffs is be required to play 3 or 4 P4 teams OOC each season and the highest ranked g6 team would get a spot assuming they have someone ranked.

No way in hell should NT or JMU get in over Alabama, ND, Miami, Texas or Vandy
