The play where Bama got 5 yards due to 12 men on the field, because the refs missed the illegal motion on the 5 moving bama players, would have been monumental if it was 4th and 5 or less at the time........

It would

The refs missed the 12 men on the field too. They only noticed it on the replay. Since 12 men on the field is a reviewable call, but illegal motion is not, then the refs hands were tied and they called the one they could. This is how Gus explained it today. Gus said that he was mad of course, but understands now why it was called like that.

Whats next, its cheating to call "hike" by the defense? lol

Actually...

“No player may call defensive signals that simulate the sound or cadence of (or otherwise interfere with) offensive starting signals ... "

Missing one extra man on the edge of the field who is running off is reasonable.

Missing 5 men in motion, and almost the entire 11 not being set, is completely not reasonable

People really really seem to want Alabama fans to blame this on something other than Auburn playing well and us laying a shitburger.

Seems impossible to me to miss 12 men on the field when that’s literally one of the only jobs of a single official pre-snap. But when the ball is snapped early and chaos ensues, I can see how that might throw your eyes off.

They got their arse whipped up and down the field before those two snaps occurred.

fricking cleft-lip, retards. Cheating in football is deflating balls - ask Saban's best friend about that. After the first bad snap, they should've gone to a silent snap (foot kick). They didn't, they got their arse kicked. Bottom line.

It’s certainly reasonable under the circumstance.

Well, DUH, obviously he's working for us. Putin fixed the game, too.

Militant level bama guy claims the two missed snaps were caused by AU defenders clapping during bama snap counts. Therefore, AU cheated and doesn't count.

Full blown Gump gonna Gump.

AU pushed Bamas shite in imo.

Don't forget illegal formation too (there were 5 in the backfield.) Refs just weren't ready because they were waiting for everyone to line up. Big screw up for them but at least it didn't matter in the long run.

Yep watch the replay of that play. Bo clearly claps to the O-line for some reason (looks like he was just trying to pep them up). Oops.

On the other play Trigga Tray Matthews does clap, but he is looking at another AU player trying to get his attention. Matthews is AU's "QB" in the secondary, so this is normal.

The actually happened, the clapping, on both sides.

If you find a replay, go to the 2:00 minute mark of the first quarter. Anfernee Jennings quite obviously clapped, trying to draw a false start or bad snap from Auburn.

Tray did it once intentionally, resulting in Bama's left tackle jumping.

The third down play, the first bad snap, Tray was clapping, but he was not set and was obviously getting the attention of his teammates rather than trying to induce a false start or snap.

The other one was Scarborough's mental error.

It's hard to police.

Well, yeah, that’s actually a penalty. It’s called simulating a snap count and isn’t allowed by a defensive player.

You are right, bad example. You can't say or do anything that specifically is related to snapping the ball. But anything ambiguous is a different story.

Clapping your hands would be ambiguous. The defense is allowed to use signals and words to shift also.

Ok...good stuff. Thanks. Was not aware this was even an issue in games but good to know now.

I am surprised any player could even hear a clap for that game.

You are wrong on this. If the QB clapping his hands is part of the snap being delivered, then by clapping at that point in time would be considered simulating the snap count.

It's probably a lot easier when nobody on the field is ready for the snap, including the officials, then the QB doesn't catch it. A lot of folly happening there. Easy not to remember people weren't supposed to be moving.
