Bama Grads: Tell Us About President Bell

The soon to be President at the University of Florida is President Bell that served as President at Alabama from 2015-2025.
Why did he step down last year? Anything bad?
From what I read, he did the best he could at Alabama. I’m just not the biggest fan of hiring someone from a lesser school. But maybe I’m wrong here.

He was a great President. He brought in a lot of research funding and donations were through the roof. Spearheaded the capital campaign that raised $2billion. I would wish you ill will with your last comment but my nephew is headed that way in the fall and most of my family on my father’s side graduated from UF. So just a polite frick you will be given

Had the benefit of being the president when Alabama received its largest private donation in history when the CEO of Lockheed Martin gave the university 250000 Benjamins.

Bama dropped from ~80th in academic rankings when Bell got there to ~150th when he left. We’re fricked. This has Strickland level competence written all over it, but in academics.

Yet the quality of students only got better. If you’re stupid enough to follow these bullshite rankings, maybe you should worry less about the academic side.

Bama is now 196th… the same as FAMU.
Let that sink in.
Your degree is on the same level as FAMU.
We are not Bama or FAMU. Top 10 public is expected and we may lose all of that under Bell. fricking sucks.
