That "O" that SE took over in '16 set team or individual LSU records in almost every game he called the plays. That was the same "O" tigers had been running for years with Les, just a different mindset at OC and a head coach not interfering with the play calling.

LSU is definitely NOT going back to "I" formation. You can take that to the bank. Haven't seen one LSU fan say the '20 offense would continue at it's record setting pace of '19. The '20 "O" will not resemble the '18 "O" in anyway shape or form. LSU will run four and five wide out of the shotgun, just like '19.

What helped Burrow greatly is that LSU brought in an offense that he started running in middle school. Plus being in grad school and taking only online courses he was able to spend his days at football complex.

Because of Brady's onfield coaching as coWR coach LSU's WRs improved as much as it's QB. Brady implemented practice drills never before seen at LSU. Those drills aren't vanishing because Brady departed for the NFL.

Do you know what Munoz function was as an analyst? He broke down film of upcoming opponents blitz packages and went over it with Burrow on Thursdays. I would think most any competent college or NFL coach hired for that analyst position could do as good a job.

Do you think Brady and Munoz are irreplaceable? Seems like EdO replaced Aranda with a fairly decent DC. Not expecting less from his hires to replace Brady and Munoz. Heard an interview with EdO that Munoz might be an option to return to BR and replace Brady.

Read where Brennan is graduating this spring and will be a grad school QB this fall. That will allow him to do what Burrow did and spend all his time at the football facilities.

If you go by the score, you clearly didn’t watch the game. We slaughtered them.

Well the pieces are there anyway. Experience and talent. If Goulding can’t get it done this year I hope he’s fired before we even get to the LSU game.

can you give us a potential two deep for that nasty "D"? The only thing I know is they lose seven of the guys that started VS LSU, three Dlinemen and four from the secondary.

I do know moses returns from injury so, that's a big plus.

Um, not even close.

Davis is the only DL that left. Musika was a senior that started after further injures but Dale is the starting NG and was a freshman. Plus, Ray is back at DE after missing most of the season.

Lewis and Jennings are gone at Jack and Sam. But Allen started the bowl at Sam. All the depth is back at Mike and Will, plus Moses and McMillon that missed the season.

Alabama started in nickel versus LSU, so yes three of the five are gone. But Surtain, Jobe, and Battle are all back. All started multiple games in 2019. But the secondary is still the biggest question mark.

All in all, there’s going to be huge improvement. Lots of young players had to start at times over the course of the season. They got experience and will continue to develop. But then you throw in three upperclassmen back from season ending injuries in Moses, McMillon, and Ray.

Dudes didnt look a ton better against Michigan than they did at the beginning of the season.

I get that he's had injuries but the man is going into his SIXTH season at Alabama and has 30 tackles.

From what I remember bama starters VS LSU. Tide started in a 4-2-5

DE - Lewis and Jennings
DT - Dale and Davis
Three of those four are gone. Dale is the returner at NT. Ray does return from injury.

ILB - Lee and C Harris
Both return plus Moses. McMillon will be a sixth year sr that has yet to see any meaningful PT.

DBs - Diggs, McKinney, Carter, Mayder and Surtain. Surtain is the only one of the five returning.

As stated bama is losing seven defensive players that started VS LSU, three Dlinemen and four in the secondary.

We played in that formation because LaBryan Ray and Moses were injured...

And tbh Mayden and Carter were huge liabilities. They are easily replacable. Diggs is not as replacable but he didn’t play well versus LSU so I’m not too torn up about it. We get to start a much more physical CB (Jobe) versus Chase next season.

Battle will do a good job replacing McKinney. I’m very confident in that

Christian Harris was a monster against Michigan. He will have a great season next to Moses next year. Dale was injured. Barmore played well. Jobe also played well. Idk what you’re talking about.

Just curious. Let's say ray and moses were healthy. Name the starting front six and their positions? If mayden and carter were huge liabilities and easy replaceable why were they STARTING in the first place?

Chase VS any college DB is a mismatch. FYI Chase goes up against the best DB in college every day at practice.

Nah. Secondary will still suck and pass rush will be non-existent, unless you've got some serious addition by subtraction happening (which you don't). Getting Dylan Moses back won't fix those fundamental problems. Alabama still won't be able to cover the pass.

And before you come in here and tell me Alabama had the #11 pass defense in the country (which is true), those numbers were inflated by poor competition. Alabama's passing YPG allowed versus unranked teams was 163.5. Versus ranked teams? 266.3. That's a 100+ YPG difference.

Sorry, but Bama's D will not be "nasty" in 2020. It will be the about the same. Statistically, maybe even a little worse considering the schedule is tougher.

Surtain is good, but the others suck, man. You guys haven't been able to cover a legit passing attack for 2+ years and that's not going to miraculously change next year.
