Well, UK went Bama. Our wonderful president, Eli Capiluoto, is a product of the University of Alabama system, although his doctorate is from Harvard. He is leading UK to unprecedented heights in academic achievements. We are very proud that he is making UK competitive in the academic arena.

When I read Bama going full Aggy, I was afraid we were going to sell sell our stadium naming rights to KY.

Teaching someone the proper construction of a whiskey still and how to avoid Revenuers is not an academic achievement.

He attended undergrad at Bama.

Got his Masters, DMD at UAB, then taught at UAB and was provost as well. I don't know how he's doing at UK but he'd probably be an improvement over our current a-hole.

He's got more years at the Capstone than A&M fwiw.

Aggienes doesn't wear off easily. You take it to your grave.
Aggies like to share with Bama anyway. Bear, Stallings and now this.

I'm prepared for Syria getting nuclear weapons but I draw the line when Alabama and nuclear engineering are mentioned in the same sentence.

Bell spent 16 years as a professor and department head at Alabama from 1986-2002.

Alabama has a very underrated engineering program. The amount of money spent on facilities in the STEM fields, particularly engineering is exciting.

Digressing here, but on topic of engineering, ALDOT in Montgomery is going to design a new bridge over in Mobile off of I-10 and one of my past roommates at US is a candidate to design it with his team.

FWIW it's pretty much understood that Dr. Witt still runs UA. He was the President at UA for 9 years that saw unprecedented growth in enrollment, money, construction and widely seen as the reason UA shot up the academic rankings.
He became the University of Alabama System Chancellor where his office is quite literally a block from his old one as President.
Anyway, he's a product of Dartmouth.
He was the Dean of University of Texas-Austin business school and then President of UT-Arlington.
