LSU but only because of a greater distaste
for the creepy, cultish Dabo dancers and their
seasonal slide on easy street---and was pleased
LSU won because of Burrow and it was a good story.
At the time, don't think I fully appreciated
the toilet-loaded
jealousy, insecurity and even hatred for
Alabama among some LSU fans until you finally beat
Bama in 2019 though---so wave your Buckeye banner
all you want ; I have a feeling Alabama could give
two shits less.

I pulled for LSU. I watched it with my brother in law, an LSU grad, and I’m kind of tired of Dabo’s shtick.

Indeed. Tons at the big gas station in Styx River area as well.
Like you said, I'd imagine the southern part of the state is probably more LSU friendly than the north.

I actually watched as a casual fan, even though Dabo and I were teammates. His schtick has worn me down. No way I was rooting for him and definitely not pulling for the Corndogs.

I live in Alabama. Alabama fans and Auburn fans always overwhelming support SEC teams and each other.

I don't know about that!! I've seen A LOT of Barners wearing Texas stuff, LSwho, Notre Dame, Clemson stuff and even printing that team's logo in their colors.

I didn't pull for either team. In fact, I went to bed around the time the game started because I had to be at work at 5:30 AM the next morning.

I dunno about each other. There is a level of niceties that exist when your family members favorite teams are about to play in a huge game, but deep down most want the other to lose.

I don't think I've ever said "I hope you guys win", but I've absolutely peddled in the "you guys are playing really well right now - should be a good game".
Christmas gatherings are always great for those.
