We have only won 25 times in the last 90 years, give or take. Doesn’t matter who their coach is.... remember the beating Fran gave us ? Bammer is Bammer and always will be.

There's really nowhere else to go but south, right? He's systematically blown through the toughest division of the strongest conference in the nation for over a decade.

I hope he stays until the fanbase turns on him, but he won't. I really believe that 44-16 was a sign that he is finally losing a bit of an edge. I give him 2-3 more years.

Hope you're right.

Yeah, after Nebraska beat Alabama 38-6 in 1971, it showed Coach Bryant had lost his edge too.

Not really. I mean he several more years ahead of him. Still coaching and recruiting at the same level. Plus I know whomever we hire he will keep the L8U streak going so......

He’s not leaving any time soon. He’ll be like JoePa, propped up coaching from the press box. He’s got at least another 15 years to go.

What's really going to make everyone melt is when Dabo is introduced as head coach a few days after Saban retires.

I'd love to see their definition of "major" because not all infractions cases are created equal. State got nabbed once for giving a clothing discount to an athlete that was available to all students, and later got nabbed for giving a jacket and a $1000 discount on a car loan. That pales in comparison to the Albert Means scandal, or the two huge Ole Miss scandals - one involving Dog Brewer and the other one under Hugh Freeze.

And OM combined FOUR different sports under one major infractions case.

It was to show that because of a devastating loss, Alabama got better. Coach Bryant has actually considered retirement (or moving on) before 1971.

History maybe about to repeat itself.....

although I am not sure how much better a decade Alabama can have..

another coach won't win as much, but Alabama is the most consistent title winner in the SEC, and will continue to be so.

This is revisionist history. The presaban Alabama era looks real freaking similar to the presaban LSU era unless you're going back 20+ years before that.

The real issue is that Clemson is cheating their arse off right now and no one cares because everyone is sick of Alabama / SEC fatigue. They have taken enough recruits from Bama to allow other schools in the SEC to come close to catching back up with Alabama...
