You've clearly never interacted with Chinese people. There are no such things as rules to them.

And what will be the effect of this huge cost increase on our economy as a whole?
Well, I can tell you that in 2020-2021, supply chain issues worsened due to COVID-19. A particular supplier jacked up my prices. We had a mutual agreement on some things, so I canceled everything and went to another supplier, whose prices were even higher. Within six months, they had restored all my price points, even though this was against company policy. It's called negotiation.
Countries can not, not afford to do business with the US. They can posture and politic all they want, but in the end, they will bend the knee. This is no different than men in women's sports and the other liberal driven bs out there. The idea that the US is weak, the way these countries have started talking down to us, all because of globalist, is a joke.
This isn't a prediction. It's a guarantee. Dont poke the bear, and the US is literally the bear.

The idea, that you're going to "do damage" to the richest man in America by attacking one of his several revenue streams is pretty funny.
The did what they always do, which is hung themselves for more emotionally stable and wiser people to come by and take what was theirs.

I was working at a company hear locally thats pretty good to law enforcement and we had a customer creating a disturbance and refusing to leave after closing hours. She called up "her girl" that was the dispatcher here locally and the dispatcher refused to page the police. It took us 2 hours but we eventually found a police officer in person to go handle the situation. Nothing ever happened to the dispatcher.

Absolutely. 99% of Trump voters are poor and have no invested money.
Tons of poor people have money in the stock market and crypto. This is the issue. They can't stomach short term loss for long term gain. You can purchase 1000 shares of nvidia right now for what a bitcoin was going for a few months ago, except people still don't understand that nVidia has little competition for at least 2 more years in several of its revenue streams.
AMD has overtaken Intel in the gaming market now 2 generations in a row and their latest processor just released in March. Its benchmarks are just starting to come out and look to outperform Intel's in multi threading.
Blackberry is projected to double in the next 90 days.
These are things you just put the money in, and dont expect to get it back anytime soon, but when you do come for it, you're going to make money if you wait long enough.
re: Whats stopping Republicans from fixing child support?

Why do you think the federal gov't is responsible for marriages, divorce, and custody issues?
when implemented poorly, child support can absolutely violate civil rights. We've seen cases where support obligations are set so high they destroy someone's ability to survive financially, with jail time as a threat for nonpayment. That’s debtor’s prison by another name, and it flies in the face of equal protection under the law.
So yeah, when states get it wrong, there’s every reason for federal oversight — just like with voting rights, education access, or yes, even minimum wage

do they no longer teach civics in Louisiana to freshmen? In what world is it the Federal Gov't job to regulate marriage, divorce, and custody issues?
are you in 8th grade? if so, you get a pass. if not, go play fortnite or minecraft.
It’s wild how confident some people get while missing the basics. Minimum wage is also a state-level issue — yet we have a federally mandated floor to prevent states from being absurdly low. Same thing could be done with child support: set a federal cap or baseline structure to make sure no state is being completely out of pocket.
This isn’t even a stretch — it’s just critical thinking. You don’t have to regulate every detail to establish reasonable boundaries. But hey, keep throwing Fortnite jokes if that’s where your depth runs out.

In no state I'm aware of is quality of life of the spouse factored in to child support. Child support is the obligation the non custodial or shared custodial parent owes to the child. Unique to the childs needs
No. Im very unaffected by this in general. I suppose I'm having a slight red pill type moment. My understanding is that child support scales with the higher earners income to maintain quality of life when at each parents house?
I don't see how it's so unpopular to think no one needs 5 to 10k much less 100k a month for a kid. Look at the most recent news about Elon Musks payments. It's crazy. Look at divorce rates amongst wealthier people with large disparities in income. They are literally better off financially divorcing their partner if their partner doesn't just give them that much od their income to begin with.

Not exactly, but he should be paying a limit to support the children. Quality of life for the wife should be factored into alimony not child support.
There's no reason an ex spouse should be getting 100k a month in child support.
Whats stopping Republicans from fixing child support?
Posted by Ebridg3 on 4/21/25 at 7:19 pm
Set hard limits per child. No scale with income. If either spouse move in with someone else, formulate EIC.

If all you got out of that was some dude over reacting to a buggy being stolen then i certainly envy you.

I live in Addis. Still, my neighborhood has houses being broken into amd vehicles stolen out of their own parking spots. Cars parked all over grass and public pond spots and now they are building a gas station in front of it
So where are the nicer areas to live now?

Things are just ever regressing near where I live now. Went to Walmart in Port Allen, walked away from my buggy for less than 2 minutes to get some eggs and meat. Turned around and my buggy was snatched and all my groceries emptied onto the Lunchables in the middle of cooler area. I haven't dealt with that kind of crap since being at Sherwood Middle in the mid 90s or Tiger Plaza 2010.
I live in Addis now and I didnt like it at first, in 2009, but I've gotten used to it now and want to find somewhere that's less populated but not where I have to drive 10 miles to get to a grocery store.
Where's the areas getting developed now?

This case is a lot bigger than most people realize — it’s a turning point for the direction of this country.
If this kid walks or even gets a slap on the wrist, it won’t just be a legal failure — it’ll be a cultural shift. The level of support he’s getting, despite what actually happened, shows how deeply one side of this country has been indoctrinated into open hostility and prejudice — and not even subtle about it.
Meanwhile, the other side — the one that’s being demonized constantly — is growing less tolerant of being blamed, shamed, and attacked. This case is different. It’s the first time in a long time where the mask slipped — where the hate can’t be spun away or denied. Not just because of the stabbing, but because of the millions of people openly celebrating it with “f white people” rhetoric like it’s justified.
If this case is mishandled — if justice isn’t served — it won’t be the last straw, but it will be the point of no return. That’s the weight of this moment. And people had better take it seriously before it’s too late.
