Just curious as to why bammers are so triggered on anything to do with Lane Kiffin. They seem to obsess with him on this board. I can understand why ole Miss fans would but the bammers and Kiffin Derangement Syndrome is out of control. Let it go Bammers. U say you wouldn’t want him as your coach but if you fired DeBoer today you would step over your tongues to hire him immediately

He quit on his team a week before the national championship game. Just checked out, missed meetings, late when he did show up, not focused on Alabama and the upcoming championship game, but instead his new job. He was a huge distraction and put Alabama in a bind. I think he cost Alabama that national championship.

He is autistic and suffers from narcissistic personality disorder. Lane cares about one thing and one thing only, Lane.

Bama fans arent a monolith. I cant imagine ever having much hate for Kiffin. Offense was very successful and we won a Natty while he was here. Probably would have won a second if he hadnt been let go the week before the National Championship game But thems the breaks, and Saban has apparently made peace with him since then so I have no reason to hold a grudge.

I can't speak for my fellow Alabama fans, but I legitimately don't care. LSU was going to go after the best coach on the market, and if they feel LK is that guy and he wins there, then they were clearly correct. I certainly don't blame them for replacing BK (he wasn't getting it done, and 2023 was the clearest example of that with an offense with 3 first round picks, including at QB, but lost 3 games because of a horrid defense that actually had 3 defensive linemen go in the draft as well).

I think there is some irony in the acceptance of behaviors that they would otherwise decry if LK was coaching anywhere else, but let's be honest - that's true everywhere. We give massive amounts of leeway to coaches if they coach for our own team, a bit of leeway if they're somewhere we don't care about, and absolutely none if they are somewhere we don't like. It's the nature of fandom - hate the coach at the rival school, love the coach once they're here.

LSU fans would love Nate Oats if he went there, and Alabama fans would love Lane Kiffin if he came here. Maybe not right away, depending, but win some games and go far in the post-season and trust me, they'd suddenly be the favorite man on campus.

If Lane fails at LSU, then I assure you, no one will hate Lane more than LSU fans; if he succeeds, then no one will hate him more than rival fans (and probably OM fans more so that Alabama fans, considering the history, if Saban and LSU after Coach Saban came to Alabama is any indicator).

Was my teacher/coach in high school. Could throw a perfect ball a mile.

This Bama fan hasn’t thought about LK in a decade. Roll Tide! Going to shock a lot of people this year that are out thinking Bama is no longer relevant. In my opinion, of course.

Your "Narcissistic Personality Disorder" comment is like Finebaum calling Kiffin "sleazy, a great projection.

One program is on the decline, the other is not.

Even Gumps know they aren’t the latter.

DeBoring has won playoff games. How many has Kiffin won as a head coach?

I don’t even think that was the case when Saban first retired. It certainly wouldn’t be the case now.

That’s not to say he’s not a great coach or that Alabama wouldn’t want him at some point. But he has a ton to prove before Alabama would have him as heir first choice.

Has to be something.

It’s not the biggest deal in the world, but the fact he’s still an absolute clown is almost sad.

He’s had every reason in the world to cut it out for a bit. Ffs he got to watch Saban up close for years and still can’t help himself.

(LSU fans I’m not saying he won’t be very successful and enjoyable as your coach)

Seems way too social to be autistic. Definitely a narcissist

Well, it’s hard to hate on Vandy anymore with Diego gone and Vandy back to its God given place of irrelevancy.

We already have Auburn, Tn, Ga to hate on.

Why not include LSU to the shite list?
It’s football season right?
