Or did you feel like they matched up as well as they did? This is not a troll thread. It’s a real question.

f

I didn't, actually. I felt strongly going in that Clemson would probably win.

Of course, I didn't think we would shite the bed like we did, but such is life.

Thought it was a toss up. Didn't feel great about the defense with Buggs banged up, Miller out and the way we had been thrown around on against UGA and Oklahoma. Thought we'd score a bunch.

The thing Clemson does better than anybody in America is red zone defense. That's why the game last year was 44-16 and not 44-34, and the reason they won last night instead of losing 34-24. They force teams to make mistakes in the red zone, even really really good ones.

Yes they did, all of the talk was them being the first undefeated team in the playoff era and the greatest team ever. Tua was throwing the ball all over everybody and Clemson hadn't played anybody

Sounds familiar

I absolutely did.

I thought that Clemson hadnt played anyone worth a shite all season. I thought that they'd have moderate success against our defense, but I thought that tua and co were going to light them up, and that they wouldn't be able to keep up. Doh!

I had a bad feeling going into the game and I knew Clemson was healthy and well rested after playing Notre Dame. Also y’all get 14 days to get ready for the finals this year where as it was only one week before. It’s so hard to go undefeated when you are an SEC team. Look how few programs pull that off. I do expect LSU to beat Clemson though pretty convincingly. Lawrence benefited from a very porous Bama secondary last NC game. LSU has a real good DB unit.

Except this is a historically good offense and the LSU defense is on par with yours.
You also dont have that defensive front anymore.

Yeah so was Alabama’s. In 2019 all of these offenses are “historically good”

QBs are setting records every year

Not with absolute confidence. Needed Tua at his best to have won.

Burrow has already thrown for 1200 more yards and 12 more touchdowns than Tua did last season.
