MOST LSU FANS ARE SOOOOOOOOO STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Saban can recruit, no doubt.
And they may have the best WR in the country next year.
Still, they are green on the OL, green at QB, green at TB. Too many questions marks to knight them the King of the West.
I expect the West to be wild this fall, with Arkansas, LSU, Ole Miss and Alabama all in the mix.

Boom!
Yeah, but at least we didn't lose to UL
And BTW Saban lost 5 games in one season before...several times at MSU and once at LSU
He is capable

Agreed. It will be a beatdown. One injury, one surprise newcomer stepping up, and so many other factors will make it very unpredictable.

If you go by the way the teams finished the season, you have to like Ole Miss in the West. But Bama is loaded with raw talent, and no telling who might step up and dominate.

Because of their coach, I expect Bama to be just as good or better than last year. Saban did an outstanding job in recruiting the last couple of years. He recruits and knows how to use the talent.

PJ, do you think it is a given that the QB at bama is so good that they can't lose some games? Saban is mortal...when his teams don't get good QB play, they get beat. See 2002 and 2004 to a lesser extent. If the offense can't give the defense a rest by keeping a drive alive, the defense will wear down over the coarse of the game and season. I'm not saying bama will not be a good team but their QB is an unknown and bad QB play can make the best coach look average.

Bama will not be as good as last year. That's plain and simple, even with an easier schedule.
They are playing a very green QB who has no real experience in tough situations. They lost 3 starters on their OL and have little to no backup experience. At least LSU OL lost only two and the Tackle positions are stable. Tackle will be the biggest problem for Bama, and that will be hard to account for with an inexperienced QB.
They should be fine at RB, but you never know with Saban OLs. Almost all the great OL for Bama were brought in and coached up by Shula's coaches. Replacing their center will be key, but I forsee an already weak offense from last year becoming one dimensional and easily controlled like LSU did to them last year. 2 TDs came off of picks pretty much for Bama and that was against a mediocre defense (coaching-wise).
LSU has a more stable OL and better WR core overall (depth wise) and the top 2 for LSU have more potential than Bama's top 2 WR.
Bama may not have lost huge #'s on their defense, but they did lose their defensive leader in Johnson. I don't really think they'll replace that as easily. Furthermore, I really think Cody (who was overrated as hell last year) will be more neutralized by teams this season.
Overall, I think Bama will do well, but 8-4/9-3 going into the bowls with their somewhat weak schedule is a possibility. I can see them losing to LSU, OM, VTech, and potentially Arkansas. If the OL matures quickly, which Saban OLs never did, then they'll be tough and could go a long way.

Plus I personally believe they'll have one big loss of at least -14. And it could be Arkansas that gives it to them, based on when they play.
I'm thinking the Hogs will try to replicate the Utah gameplan offensively.
Well we are really in trouble now. Y'all have discovered our achilles heel. Maybe LSwho should run that offense as well.

Sorry but I would take three of our QB's over anything you have. McElroy will tear you apart. Our D-line is better than last year and our rush ends are significantly improved under new coach Sal.
But I don't want to burst your bubble. Keep on in your delusional state and we'll see you in Bryant Denny. RTR!

Not five SEC games. Dinardo did in his last season, but that was the last time before last year that LSU finshed with a losing conference record.

Do you even play 5 SEC games? Beside LSU, who do you play? No Georgia, No Florida...If you lose more than 1 game your coach should be fired.

Umm.. the only places on the defense I said would likely have some drop off was the loss of Johnson at safety and the fact that Fat Cody is over-rated as hell.
Your QB talent is utter crap compared to most of the SEC. You have very little depth at QB, and have only one QB with any experience. That QB only has 20 passes in 2 years worth of play and all in ends of blowouts.
LSU has 2 QBs that have 2+ full games of experience in the SEC or against solid BCS opponents. Lee has more potential than McElroy. LSU has less questions along the OL than LSU, and most importantly isn't replacing either Tackle position. Furthermore, LSU has more experience at both RB, WR, and TE than Bama.
LSU struggled with Green QBs with a great, experienced OL still together last season. What do you think will happen to BAMA with rebuilt OL and a Green QB this season? You better believe that teams will stack the box early against Bama and control things.
Bama will do well overall, but they have a heck of a lot more questions than LSU does on the offensive side of the ball.

Bama posting on the rant deserve automatic bannage. Let it go or go to the SEC rant. The SEC board was made for that reason in particular. Its just another game way down the road for me.

I really think Oklahoma loses 3 games this year. I think thats a bust for them. They lost most of their o-linemen. Their team was only good last year because the o-line was the best in the country.

Yea, Alabama plays 8. And it shouldn't be "beside LSU, who do you play?" It should be, besides Ole Miss, who do you play.

Anybody could lay an egg and take a two touchdown loss, just look at last year's LSU team that did it three times, twice at home. Alabama won't be getting beat down by Arkansas at home though.

Why doesn't he have a clue? Did LSU not lose five conference games last season for the first time since the Dinardo era?
