CLK gets a pass this year as far as I’m concerned. Sorry potentially losing to you this year isn’t as appealing as beating you next year and beyond.

Outside of Alabama under Saban, I’m pretty sure most programs have years where they sign a shite ton of 3 star players.
Hell there are 36 3 star recruited committed to the top 4 classes in the country.
I think UF and Oklahoma(top 10 classes) combine for 26.

With the removal of scholarship limits, you’re going to see some teams take a lot more 3-stars than they have in the past with the hope that they can develop some of them.

Unless you’ve got the funding for a $50 million dollar roster, I doubt many will avoid off years in recruiting. You’re constantly battling trying to meet needs, retain your roster, and not overpay.
Maybe DeBoer and staff end up being proven wrong, but it’s seems like the right play. When you look at their previous classes and their 2028 class, the argument seems legit.

We have quality not quantity. Our average player score is like top 5 in the country. We have twice as many 5 and 4 stars as them but they can’t count. Move along tiger eagles

As a bama fan, I'm glad we are not signing a bunch of four and five stars this year.. Why over pay for kids that have proven nothing, IMO. Get the Two and Three stars develop them, by year three or four ready play, you will have money for top portal guys to make the roster every year.. Yes, some schools by the top recruiting class and the top portal class, Bama is not one and only a few schools are. I'm not saying don't a few five stars and four stars every year if possible, but you can't waste your who cash flow on freshman recruits.

I guess w'ell just have to make due with the back to back Top 3 recruitng classes from 2025 and 2026 before the wheels inevitably fall off
