Well getting ride of the athletic dorms sure worked wonders for the little bitch teams that couldn't compete with the big guys....right?

I once was fortunate enough to be on a plane going down to the Sugar Bowl with Coach Broyles (he was gonna do the TV color commentating). He was one of the nicest, most accommodating people I've ever met...a very funny guy!
I hear you. Coach Broyles, was classy and handled himself, and spoke of others with dignity. I loved the time he did color with Keith Jackson. The 1985 Iron Bowl wouldn't have been the same without him.

I think he was on color of the 1985 Iron Bowl with Jackson. As Bama drove for the game winning kick he said “I can’t hardly stand it!”

How about just hiring a good coach that works his arse off?

I figured a Ga fan would like it. That program has no excuse. You have the same level talent as Bama, LSU, Clem, and OSU. Just hire a coach to match. All you want to do is take the easy way out.

Bama Gragi Tn - Why can 't you have a discussion without getting hostile and name calling. Reread my proposal. I am not saying to prevent players from getting scholarships only to limit the number that the play off teams can sign for a period of time. In the NFL the teams that win drop down in their selection slots . They are not rewarded by getting the first pick in each round. There would be 40 kids that would still get scholarships but make teams like Kentucky Perdue, Miss St , NC ST ,etc more competitive.

Josey Wales- Moving players out of football dorms did not work because the big schools got around that rule by building huge football only centers.

Okay, what does that have to do with my post? I still disagree with your idea and don't believe it would be good for college football.

Dumbest thread of the year

How is that going prevent a few teams from hoarding talent?
That's funny coming from a Georiga fan. Last I checked recruiting was a non-issue for UGA. Quit crying because Georgia can't get it done.

Maybe send all students that can't qualify over to Emory.

Why is the "solution" always to give out less scholarships? Kids have enough trouble bein able to go to school as it is. Why do so many support this? Because your team can't win you'd rather screw a kid out of a chance to go to school. This affects those players that have little to no chance of making it to the NFL and going to school is their best opportunity.

How many schools are chosen by the athletes on where they would like to play/schools they like?
I know if I were an athlete, (hs/college/pro), I would easily say "I don't mind playing here, here, or here.....but would NEVER be a part of ______ team".

So Georgia has all this talent, overwhelming talent really in the grand scheme, but is interested in competitive balance?
They’re like Cubs fans and Theo Epstein who complain about the Cardinals receiving competitive balance picks.

Hoarding? LMFAO. Recruit better.

Draft?
Don’t students have the right to choose where they go to college?

I read your fricking proposal, dumbass. And by the way...if you don't like being called a dumbass, then don't be a fricking dumbass, snowflake. You're absolutely telling kids that they aren't allowed to go where they want to go.
"Oh, you want to go to Clemson, kid? We're sorry...you can't go to Clemson because we cut their scholarships because they're too good. You have to go play for a shitty team like South Carolina ".
You don't like my hostility? Tough shite. I have zero patience for the stupidity of the left.
