This is surprising. Missouri has a good basketball team this year and you can only get 6,600 people a game in a 15,000 seat arena?

I went to the Aub/Winthrop game. It was probably 60% full. Aub claimed a sell out.

Some are counting butts in seats.

Actual attendance is great, but paid attendance is pretty damn important, too.

agreed, everyone should use the same metric. They aren't.

Why?

1. The games are very entertaining.
2. The team is very good.
3. We support our student-athletes at LSU.

Yeah, I'm surprised by that too.

The link isn't opening up for me. I'm assuming this includes last season? No way is Missouri's avg attendance this year only 6k.

OP posted 2021-2022 attendance. Mizzou is currently sixth in SEC home attendance averaging 10,140 per game, up 42% from last season.

That would make more sense... 6,600 would be atrocious for the type of year that your team is having.

Apparently the SC-LSU women's game at SC next week is sold out. Looks like 18,000 for that one.

Didn’t realize Ole Miss was selling out their arena this year.

18,000 willing to pay to watch a women’s basketball game is outrageous to me. Actually absurd.

No offense, but not everyone likes or dislikes the same things you do.

Those are last year's numbers. For the 2022/2023 season, the numbers go like this:

Overall attendance = 11,094/gm
Conference attendance = 14,908/gm

Mizzou has sold out every home SEC game so far (except vs piggies). Mizzou looks close to selling out every game the rest of the year.
