Northwest Arkansas never had a plantation agriculture based society and thus does not have many buildings built during the era in which those styles were popular

Now do college station.

Are you in the market for a historic house within walking distance of campus—perhaps something in the Southside District?

or are you looking for a more modern feel, maybe off Greens Prairie?

The master plan is nice, but try to ignore the tan brick spec buildings of our greatest period of growth in the 70s…terrible. Buildings from the last 20 years or so are nice.

Ahh ... duly noted.
Admittedly, the entirety of my knowledge of architecture could fit inside a thimble.
Thanks for the education.

There is one town in Georgia that the arsonist war criminal Sherman didn't burn that is crammed full of these type houses. Beautiful homes there. Can't remember the name of the town.
Are you thinking about Madison? It is east of Atlanta just north of I-20 on US-441. Not super far south of Athens.

Holy crap, that's the Xavier Lopez house. My great-great uncle, William Fishwick, was one of the carpenters that built that house. It is now on the National Historic Register because of the use of Queen Anne style.

I think he built several other houses there, but not sure how many, if any, survived when St. Augustine decided to focus on the Spanish heritage of the town in the 50s and 60s.

I believe that is it. They have a historical marker up telling the story about the city not being burned by Sherman and his war criminal thugs.
