He is a 22 year old Montgomery native with a criminal history. No connection to AU.

That sucks, but may help put him away when caught. Possibly one of the guys was talking to his girl on the side and he came to Auburn that day with the intent of hurting someone.

I still can't grasp someones thought process in situations like this. You ruin your own life, your families life. Then, you've taken 3 people lives, ruined their families life. I just don't grasp that. Nothing is worth me losing my freedom over, especially a piece of arse I'm not even married to.

You go to prison and have instant cred. I know it sounds stupid but some sub cultures live for that shite.

After posting that, I thought about it a second...Possibly the only thing in this world that would make me want to squeeze the life out of someone is if my daughter was harmed. So I guess I shouldn't say I'd never do something stupid.

I know this might be considered too soon but I know Mack was shot in the hip

Any way he is able to play this year? I'm sure he can play again eventually

He has already been released, which indicates he didn't suffer any significant damage. I would guess he will be fine by fall.

Had a college teammate get shot and he didn't miss much time. Said he got tagged in a drive by, later found out he shot himself on accident.

Let's just hope there is a big enough trail that they can get this guy very soon. He won't get away but no need for him to hurt anyone else while he is running.

Limited resources, probably hasn't ventured far outside Mont. much, and already displayed an extreme amount of poor judgment..

He won't be on the run long.

He would need a lot of resources to stay on the run for long.

Just watched the Montgomery news Wsfa and CBS with Longshore Nothing new. The Thug is from Montgomery. Longshore was a mixed bag, but did say the Auburn family would pull together.

Has anyone seen this from Montgomery Advertiser contributor Jay Tate? He apparently talked to one of the part goers.

quote:

• He said the incident began when an unidentified football player made comments about a girl who arrived with the shooter’s entourage. The comments, which the witness considered inoffensive, sparked anger from the shooter. The unidentified player didn’t back down when asked to do so by the shooter himself.

The quote you posted needs another to give some context:

quote:

The unidentified player and the shooter provisionally agreed to settle their differences “one-on-one,” but that plan didn’t last long. Associates from both sides of the disagreement began jawing at each other.

I'm not going to lie... I've been in situations like that more than a couple of times. Difference being that no one had (or pulled, at least) a gun.

It's sad how one fleeting poor decision can ruin so many lives.

He insisted that the shooter was from Montgomery because he was wearing “Montgomery swag.” When pressed for a description of that, the witness said the shooter was wearing huge gold earrings that hung down almost to his shoulder.

I've lived in Alabama my whole life, and I've never seen a man with gold earrings that hang to his shoulders.
