I am curious about any story lines coming out of your camp.
Here is what I am seeing out of our camp:
1) I think we see a lot more 12 personnel this year. Breeland, McCormick and Bay have played already. Kampmoyer switched to TE from DE a couple years ago, trimmed his body from 269 to 251 and is playing with the Twos. Spencer Webb, more a flex TE like Breeland, is close to game ready.
2) The emergence of Mycah Pittman at WR should give Herbert two receivers that can get open vs one on one coverage.
3) The secondary has some true depth for the first time in a long time. The nickel back spot is a three way battle. True freshmen DJ James, boundary corner, Mykeal Wright, field corner, and Jamal Hill, nickel, are getting reps with ones at times. Brady Breeze who has bounced between the secondary and the linebacker unit, trimmed down and is beating out Nick Pickett as the boundary safety spot, the latter being a starter last year.
4) Last year's OL was Sewell, Lemieux, Hanson, Warmack and Throckmorton. So, far in camp, they've moved Throckmorton into the RG spot and put Aiello at RT with Warmack moving to the 2nd unit for half the reps observed. Throckmorton is versatile and played inside when we've had injuries. The arrangement seems to be split down the middle, so part of me wonders if this will be opponent driven. Warmack is down to around 306 and looks really good at 6'2 306 and Aiello is 6'7" 310. So, Aiello gives the OL more length. Warmack is a wide assed body.
Anyway, I am booked for the trip. See y'all in Texas.
ETA: I had 21 when I meant 12 personnel.

Don't disrespect our resident autist Tillman like that.

We're fricked. Gus loses what little double bouble man titty magic he still had and Oregon wins 28-0.

The DL was never a concern. There are 5 seniors and they're being pushed by others. So, there is really no story line to come from this unit.
Jordon Scott, has trimmed down to 320, which should help his conditioning.
Austin Faoliu reportedly leveled up his game and is the dude of the unit. He was 285 as true frosh and played. Trimmed down to 275 last year and is now a trim 295. He is putting OL on their back in practice. These kind of reports are more "Once I see it, I will believe it" sorta thing.
Bryson Young from the stud hybrid spot seems to be running with the ones. He is kinda of the surprise.

Gus has installed 3 of the 4 plays he's going to let Bo Nix run, so we're ahead of schedule

Our OL is shite, all of our decent WR's are injured, and Gus is grooming his next failure at QB. Also our depth is extremely thin at DL. We fricked.

Has your DL coach implemented his plan to proactively limit our chop block schemes yet? If not, you better shoot him a text. Guaranteed we already have a schematic on how best to chop, hi-lo and roll block your DL individually and as separate group/units. Just ask the corndogs if you don't believe me.

He has 4 plays in the playbook this year?
Geez. Gus is really opening things up this year.

Qb race is decided but we are not telling you who will start
Best WR is a crack head
Oline is soft
The only guy playing well is our true freshman Linebacker so RIP to your little running backs
Auburn fans melting at a Defcon 2 level (so right on track)
Auburn Secondary stacked
Auburn backfield stacked
Gus Malzahn offense installed
You b fricked
Auburn 28-17

He runs them really fast so it looks like 8 plays.

Things are pretty typical for a Auburn fall camp. QB battle is yet to be announced. We think it will now be Nix but who knows
Running backs are getting healthy
Our LT is having a leg issue but is still playing. We are thin on the OL so we cant take any injuries
Our best WR has had a nagging injury all camp and has played very little from what we hear, the WR group has been a disappointment as a whole.
Secondary has been stout. Guys are stepping up and playing well. It will be one of our best groups.
DLine is good but we do not have the 10 deep like we usually have. Depth could be an issue by midseason if we have injuries

Have you seen Arkansas the last few years? Bragging about beating us is a sure sign your program is in the crapper. Its like bragging you are the tallest midget.
