He gets it.

The athletic profile of Auburn worries me. That’s why I think Auburn wins as well.

Thanks for sharing that. I like that kind of video, even if it isn't SEC. Are any of those guys 300 plus pounds?

Sewell is 325, Lemieux 317, Hanson 295, Warmack 310, Throckmorton 309, Aiello 311.

Trevor is bigger than all of them. He must be over 350 now.

He is one of my favorite commentators.

He has to be. They really leaned them out. Sewell is a huge human being. He played at 342 last year and he’s skinny at 325. Kid has tree trunk for legs.

Dudes like Seth Williams and Whitlow concern me. The safeties have a lot of range. We don’t see athletes like that often.

We are a matchup problem as well...

Juwan Johnson 6’4 233 and Bryan Addison 6’5” 190 out wide

AND

Jacob Breeland 6’5” 250 and Spencer Webb 6’6” 246 are natural pass catchers that flex out in the slot.

Cam McCormick 6’5” 260 is an in-line blocker that can go out in routes.

With Herbert 6’6’ 237 throwing to them.

I don't disagree with the point you are making, but Cam was a RS JR and Gatewood is a RS Freshman. Big physical difference in those two years. I don't think anyone is arguing he is a Cam Newton, because we have no idea what he can or will do. Just some physical similarities at the same age, and that is where it ends.

No doubt fans have hopes for flashes of Cam, but that is the extent of it. Anyone from Auburn who is buying into a comparison is masochistic at the very least.

Cam RS Freshman

I am going to geek out and quantify this. I’ve perused sparq scores and I think it will surprise you.

Like Breeze, Lenior, Graham, and Winston in the back seven all tested extremely well. Even the ILBs scored well. The OLBs for Oregon are freaks.

The 300 pounders like Baker and Faoliu ran sub 5 40s. Scott is crazy twitchy for 6’0” 322.

There is such good data now and a lot of it’s verified.

Lanier pretty much nailed the snapshot of what we know so far. You have to understand that, as Auburn fans, we know nothing about the team in fall camp because Gus likes it that way. We’re only sure the defense is good because of the track record.

We’ll know more about injuries tomorrow so I’d check back in then. Reporters will literally get about 10 minutes to ask everything

Mycah Pittman landed hard on his shoulder. They’re still evaluating but the news is significant.

Would highly recommend sitting Pittman the first game to give shoulder time to rest. Gotta think longterm here. Please pass this message on to Mario.

We still have our starters throughout camp, so we should be fine.

Oh, wait, they suck.

Probably good advice anyway. Oregon needs to think about winning the the Pac 12, and not risking a good player in a non conference game.

Seems to be that Bo Nix is now likely to be the starter but nothing’s for sure yet. Minor injuries to some WRs but they should all return except maybe Schwartz. But the WR Coach was pretty confident in them in the interviews. The Dline is still finding its edge rusher and 2nd DT. And still competition for the punt returner role.
