what? Auburn didn't even let him speak to the press last year once this story broke
A Heisman candidate... not allowed to speak to the media after games. That only made AU look even more guilty. We didn't hear 3 words from Cam during the entire saga. It seems he didn't do anything wrong, so he didn't have to speak to the media to clear things up... but his silence and media ban didn't help things perception wise

Always a good feeling to dodge the NCAA.

So much for the old adage "where there's smoke, there' s fire".

Yeah, now it's "if there's smoke, it's probably coming out of your pipe"

This isn't true, in first 2 weeks after the story started to break Cam Newton participated in a couple news conferences and addressed this very subject.
It wasn't till after the witch hunt started that AU shut him off from the press.

Congrats on dodging the NCAA!
The only question now is, can you also evade Yahoo Sports?

The real fallout from this is not coming from the SEC etc. It will come from all the jackwagons from SI, CBS and ESPN hacks that will make a paycheck on how the SEC got away with "something" once again. JMO.

So now thats over lets debate what really matters. Is Chizik able to maintain success or was it a one hit wonder.... Bama had a drop off last year and still had 4 players drafted in the first round... Was last year an anomaly at AU. I mean the recruiting class he signed in January 2009 are either Jrs. or reshirt sophmores...

I don't think we have 4 players that are draft eligible

Funny thing was last year bama had very few Sr. I think it was like 8-10.... all from Shula's last signing class..So bama was young too...

Not trying to talk shite, simply pointing out that Ohio St. and Miami's problems weren't so much from the NCAA as much as Yahoo Sports, and they have been extremely quiet during all this.
