Because half of these people have no idea what they're talking about or can't comprehend what they read.

Fox is looking to get into the Sports Marketing business in a big way. AUs dealing with FOX is similar with their contract with Under Amour 10 years ago. They get into the market at a higher than normal fee (2x IMG), but it allows them credibility to go to other programs. It has worked well for UA and Auburn.
Someone mentioned Learfield so now it makes sense. Learfield has our stuff. I have a better understanding now.

This pretty much will take the place of Learfield or IMG eventually for all schools. In 5 years either ESPN or Fox will have radio rights to all teams football radio broadcasts as well. I heard this talk sometime last year.

Just a sign of the times.

I'm sure so many networks are clawing at each other to be able to draw in all 12 TV sets in Arkansas

Learfield already uses Fox Sports, so you are correct in there will be some mergers. IMG will probably sell off, its what they do.

Probably a little more than 5 years, but as they come up for renewal they will transfer and a few of these companies will merge/sell off

You are correct. Learfield has wanted to keep the books closed on A&M, because of a revenue-sharing agreement in its previous contract and it has still not been disclosed.

Alabama signed their contract in April 2014 and established the market, which A&M likely benefited from in negotiations a year later culminating in an agreement in Dec 2015.

The baseline agreement for Bama was to double
the previous min. payment which means they could make between $150-160M. If A&M followed suit, their agreement would be around $100M based on their previous agreement while in the Big 12, but I bet they negotiated from the stance of being an SEC member in the state of TX. That is the difference between the 2nd largest state economy in the US ($1.648 Trillion) vs. the 21st ($207 Billion).
