$30 million is a lot of broken piggy-banks; especially when there are no guarantees the next guy will fare any better... makes one wonder what other sports projects will have to be sacrificed to make it happen.

Yea , he wouldn’t come back to Florida where he actually had ties to and could have dominated a division and only had to play BAMA in championship (mostly) , but is totally interested in being a second fiddle to coach Saban in state ..

Come on .

Bob Stoops made a lot money from OU everytime the UF job would open.

It would be a complete 180 if goes back into coaching. He had his gig at OU and stepped down during a consistent playoff berth run

Gus had his moments with all three just in the last two years, why do you think Stoops would have issues? Beat all three. Unless you think Gus is as good as Stoops.

Every SEC has alum with money. Auburn's big donors just happen to like sports, they will be more than fine.

Very simple...GoFundMe...plus there'd be a glut of butter and eggs at the curb market which would drive their price down....a win/win!

This! I love how when a team is trying to buy out their HC for an upgrade all of the opposing fans say theyre too broke yet when their team is trying to do it, money is no object.

Jimbo just hung 70 on you. Why you laughing?

Well when you played 4 quarters plus 7 OT. You're bound to score 70 points.

Now if he did that in 4 quarters then it would be more impressive.

Gus is a moron yet he has victories over all these guys. Why couldn't a real coach do the same?

If Stoops goes to Auburn, I'll fall out.

LSU misses on Herman and then Fisher to end up with Orgeron. That's not to discredit Orgeron.

Again, if Auburn ends up with Bob Stoops (watch it be bro over @ UK), I will melt like a candle.

I am not sure any Auburn fan "thinks" we are getting Stoops. It is pretty obvious some from Auburn have talked to him though. Hell, most SEC schools would love to gauge his interest if they were thinking of making a move.

I don't, retirement is boring. I doubt he would go to Auburn after coaching a blueblood.

Retirement isn’t nearly as boring when you’re a multi-millionaire

True, but coaches always have that itch. Especially if a school calls offering huge $$$

Only dumbass Bama fans think that Auburn doesn't fit in the elite category. Any of the big 6 in the SEC does.
