I always feel Auburn is a different team on the road than at home. I wouldn't be surprised if they upset UGA or UA due to some freak incident that ends up replaying for years. Examples include the ball bouncing off the defender's helmet and returning a short field goal. But going by numbers I will think they will lose all the away except for Vanderbilt and win all the home except for Alabama and UGA.
So 6-6, but if they can put play some good away games I would think they could be 8-4 with Arkansas and A&M wins.

They'll at least lose to one. Probably two. Could lose to all three very easily.

I do think Freeze is a good fit for Auburn but I think they’re a year off

I think they will win one they aren't supposed to win. Hopefully not against LSU.

We'll beat A&M, Arky, OM and probably LSU.

So, in your opinion the '23 Auburn team will do something they haven't done since Cam Newton won the Heisman, AU went undefeated and won their 1st NC on +50 yrs?

With a +/-50% roster turnover, new staff, new schemes, new terminology, etc.

technically, we didn't do it in '10 either, because TAMU wasn't in the conference yet

we did beat OM, Arky & LSU just two years ago - the last two on the road

and that was with Coach Hardass at the helm

Auburn's got a more favorable schedule, I've got them 8-4 + winning a decent bowl game (a rarity under Malzhan) to finish 9-4.

By any measure, that would be considered a great year and would boost the hell out of their recruiting. Freeze is on a redemption mission; he wants to personally prove his worth at the SEC level.

That schedule is a joke. I would be highly disappointed with anything less than 8 wins minimum.

Auburn always gets one of the toughest schedules every year. It's about time the get some relief.

Is it? Any schedule with Alabama, LSU, and Georgia on it isn’t a joke.

Good to see you Freep. What's your take on Geriner, think he will win the starting job before the year is over? I've heard a couple of people (including Cubelic) speak highly of him, that he's progressing well (fwiw). Good luck this season.

Meh the non conference is a joke and get UGA and Bama at home, all 4 non-conference games plus Vandy equal 5 automatic wins. 7-5 would be a disappointment.

every coach loses games he shouldn’t…. and the common denominator in most of those loses was bad defense.

Historically, auburn fields a very good defense… and freeze will do what it takes to get the talent up on that side of the ball… will it work? Time will tell.

Auburn will go 2-2 out of Aggy, OM, Arkansas, and Bama (get em in JHS where Bama gets inside their heads for whatever reason).
