Have you watched a Bruce Pearl coached team the last 20 years?
Just out of interest, how many of those Bruce Pearl teams had a player as good as Jabari Smith??

We accept it...every great person has a weakness Bruce's willingness to give the guys freedom on the offensive end is his weakness. However, it's also likely why they guys play so hard for him.

Fair enough. I just feel like great coaches ALWAYS adjust to their personnel. You need to adjust to generational players. I doubt you’ll feel this way if Green and Johnson shoot you out of a game in March. Generational talents don’t come around very often.

Jabari is still growing into that role. Tonight was the first time he looked like he really wanted to be that guy. The team will adjust as he continues to assert himself. Bruce isn’t going to change his philosophy because he wants his kids to play free and he accepts that it will not always be good shot selection.
You aren’t wrong about shot selection, but Bruce is going to let the players figure that out without constraining them.

I'm an Auburn basketball fan...we feel like we are living some fantasy with Bruce. Every game his team is well prepared and plays hard. I expect them to win and last year with the injuries and NCAA nonsense I still expected them to be in every game. I hope we win it all but if we get bounced in the 1st round we will still be a school that was dead in the basketball world who went to the Final Four and had one of the best teams in the country in 2021-2022.

Yeah, this team isn’t close to hitting its ceiling. I can tell they worked on isolating Jabari at the elbow and running more offense through him this last week. They will continue to get better working together as the season moves along.

Jabari giving us 30 points means a loss for just about every team in college basketball. You will get that Jabari when the time warrants it.

Agreed. The Final Four team changed when they began running the O through Chuma at the free throw line ala Lawson at UTk that season.

The last 6 minutes of this game is why I laugh at the whole notion that Coleman Coliseum is an awful atmosphere. It has moments where that building gets loud and intense as frick. It take big games and comeback runs to bring out the old 80s and early to mid 90s Coleman magic out of the crowd these days. Props to this Auburn team for not wilting under the intensity of the home crowd with all the pressure on them as the much better team

No f'in s###! I misspoke so sue me. You guys bitch about officiating in literally every single football and basketball game against Alabama you play win or lose. You act shocked that you're the first basketball team to ever go into a hostile road environment and have the home team get most of the calls. Shocking!!

I think you’ve mistaken us for another fanbase.
I sure remember a lot of bitching about refs from Alabama fans in 2019. 2013 too.
