Auburn and State are basically the same school

They are practically identical with regard to admission requirements and overall academic prowess. They both focus heavily on their engineering programs and their rivals focus more on medicine, law, business, etc. Their towns are very similar as well. Auburn has had a slight advantage over the years because of its location to the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. Otherwise, they are the exact same school.

No, the Auburn "family" is on a cult level similar to the Aggies. They even have the ghey cheers to go along with it.

Coming from a Georgia fan? Where literally every year you say you are going to win a National title yet 1980 still hangs over your stadium like a badge of honor? I don't get it?

You really haven’t spent much of any time around either school have you? The only accuracy in here is that they both emphasize engineering. The towns aren’t similar at all, unless you’re criteria is they are both small college towns, then hundreds of schools would be considered the same.

I live in Birmingham and I can tell you this is not even close to accurate. I know lots of folks who attended Auburn but their kids had to go elsewhere because they were unable to meet the acceptance requirements at Auburn. Meanwhile Mississippi State waves out-of-state tuition for kids who make a certain ACT score which happens to be well below the average ACT score of Auburn freshmen.

Congrats on the dumbest post of the day. I thought it was wrapped up by Genuine earlier but you just took it.

I'm told (by vets) than State has a better vet school.

Well this is false, but go ahead with your narrative.
Just a quick search shows Auburns average ACT score to be 27. Yes, an OOS student can get tuition assistance at MSU for a 27 AND a 3.5 GPA in high school, but they don't waive the OOS. I'm sure there are some stipulations which could waive OOS, but it's not based on a simple ACT score

What's up with all these shitty UG posters lately?

You have a clue about what a Lan-Grant college is.
The Mississippi schools are burdened by the "Ayers" case. Pretty much have to allow anybody breathing in Mississippi to be allowed to enroll.

I know a kid with a 19 ACT & 2.7 GPA that didn't make the first cut at Auburn. He then told an admissions officer that he he'd major in forestry and they snapped him up with no problem.....after his 1st semester he later changed his major to business.

Don't give OP what he wants. Let's talk about coach fair bowlcut, instead.

No - he already received this award earlier:

Nope. One was a Fla. grad. One a Tenn. grad, and two I'm not sure of. They mostly said that the interns out of Miss. State are further advanced coming out than the others. The Fla. vet said he believes that it's because the class sizes are smaller and they get to do more "hands-on" procedures.
