USC later vacated that natty so it would only make sense to give it to us who was 13-0 and ranked #2. If they wouldn’t have cheated, I would say don’t claim it.

Is that ring for real?

Yes the ring is real and it was designed by Tubbs. Regardless, Auburn has never claimed 2004 as a national championship.

Alabama was the ONLY undefeated untied team in the country in 1966 but did not get the AP/UPI title. Alabama has never claimed a title for 1966

This all explains the War Eagle fans giving claim to UCF. They are so similar.

Not as sad as the Arkansas NC ring pictured below...

I see that googling Arkansas National Championship ring was too taxing for you. We have plenty to spare for less fortunate schools like Auburn though. To be honest, all of our national title trophies are a pain to keep track of as well. Some they just leave laying around in an office. We'll send you a few and you can pretend they are for Auburn.

No, because you weren't ranked #2 by the BCS.

It's simple logic, yet somehow beyond the grasp of the feeble mind of an Auburn fan.

You had a championship game, with the winner being the champion, and the loser being the runner up. When the champion has to vacate, the runner up gets the crown.

I honestly wouldn't have an issue if AU did claim it. Auburn's team that year was a beast and they would have crushed USC. I always felt like they got robbed.

I personally claim 2004 for Auburn.

These are the years on my Auburn National Championship banners:

1913, 1914, 1932, 1957, 1958, 1983, 1993, 2004, 2010, and 2013

Before anybody questions me, I consider Jameis Winston ineligible, therefore FSU forfeits. And they definitely wouldn't have won without him at QB.

This feeble minded Auburn fan seems to recall two national championships being awarded this year(Just like the previous and so on), one from the AP and one from the BCS.

What was the final ranking of the AP poll, for us feeble minded Auburn fans?

I meant recent history...Like when anybody on the Rant was alive. Congrats on the T&F and XC, but we aren't discussing those sports here.

Here's to putting another 50+ on your sorry asses a 3rd year in a row in 2018

Titles Auburn should claim no questions asked: 1913, 57, 2010

Titles that Auburn has a good argument for: 1983, 2004

Less credible: 1993

The school is debating whether to add championships for 1910, 1913, 1914, 1983, 1993 and 2004. The NCAA record book lists Auburn as a national champion in 1913, 1957, 1983, 1993 and 2010.

I detest Auburn, but even I wouldn't argue them laying claim to the 2004 National Title, especially being that USC had to vacate it in addition to Oklahoma being blown out badly.

If you remember USC opened the season on the road at the same Va Tech team Auburn played in the sugar bowl and didn't get the lead until the fourth quarter. It was quite obvious that Auburn should have been in the title game over the Sooners.
