does that mean KS gets a pass for allowing 24 pts?

Not entirely. We gave up a few big plays Nick Ruffin got caught cheating inside on the Gage long run, Carlton Davis tried to knock a ball down instead of making a sure tackle, and we gave up a punt return for a TD.

Not taking away anything from the LSU defense they played good in the second half, and Aranda out classed Gus Malzahn. They made adjustments and Auburn didn't counter with adjustments of there own. He simply was trying to run the clock because he didn't believe LSU could put up 20 points on the Defense. That worked out well.

My two big takeaways were at the end of the first half when Gus said we are up by 9 we are "in good position"
and his presser after the game when he said "we still control our own destiny. It's not the end of the world". I just don't want a coach with that type of mentality at my school.

Nope,Kerryon is right. Auburn gave it to you, and the refs pushed you over the edge by not calling several penalties (multiple blocks in the back, egregious PI on a 3rd down, etc)

Don't be mad that Troy is the 2nd best team in Alabama.

Solid post and response. And I would agree with these statements. If I were the coach there I would be pissed off that our team just gave up a TD right before the half. And I don't know what he could say other than "I lost this game...this game is on me" but you and I both know he doesn't have the balls for that.

It's amazing you come in here with your stupid shite and almost everyone votes you down. Even other Auburn fans hate you. Your like the Harvey Updyke of the Auburn fan base.

The good Auburn posters will have to take a boatload of crap because BowlJackson and AU24whatever ran their mouths. It's time to pay the toll.

It wasn't just those two. There were several Auburn posters claiming LSU had no chance at all.

Some of us tried to tell them they were overrated. They just didn't want to listen.

Or when you run the fricking ball 17 straight times...yeah, that made it pretty easy to adjust

I understand, but I thought that fell into normal fan smack talk. the other two (Bowl and AU) always go over the top and try to push the envelope. It just causes problems for the rest of the fan base.

This is the best summary of why KJ is correct.

The general synopsis is LSU adjusted. Auburn didn't. That's literally coaching.

This doesn't make it much better. Gus' staff got out coached by orgeron's. Fire him now.

''We just have to face facts,'' Kerryon Johnson said. ''We had a lead and we took our foot off the gas.'

And now JS is saying he's just running the plays he's told to run. Implying that he can't change plays at the line and that its something they hope to transition into. WTF? You don't trust your QB to change plays at the line?
