I still think it will not be Steele (fans and other power brokers hate the idea) or CHristibol (too many dollars).

Why did Billy N tell USCe no?

I know Auburn is dysfunctional when it comes to coaches (Mr. 5-19), but not sure how they can justify this (1-31). We will now move to number 7 in the west.

It maybe a money issue, we can give it to Steele without any true cost. We could have paid Gus 28 Million over 4 years or 21 million to go home. The 7 million can be given to Steele and we break even.

Only because there are Site Administrators who have an agenda. Check Ron Sanders background, he is joined at the hip with a lot of Old School Coaches. Now you have Marshall coming out with stories of how dysfunctional Gus was for the last 7 years, but he wouldn't write about it while it was happening. Some of these guy are in bed with the current coaching staff. A new coach means less access for them, unless it is Steele.

Nah. You won't be 6-6 with Steele as HC.

Looks like Cristobal is a BoT vote away from getting an extension at Oregon.

Except for the 2nd half of that where he accepts it.
Not saying he won't nor that he was supposed to be the guy, but that's only a vote to offer him an extension, right?

From the linked article:
quote:

Sources have confirmed that Oregon and Cristobal have been involved in a near year-long contract negotiation following the program's win against Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl on January 1, 2020.
Remember when Alabama had a 10-year contract extension sitting on their HC's desk, just waiting for him to sign?

I remember

Maybe it will just be an offer, but for Oregon to reach the point of voting on what they're going to offer him, they are clearly still negotiating hard with each other.
