He was a product of Gus's S&C Program. Was a wide body but very soft. When I saw him last year during the UK Game, I knew AUs Defense was in trouble.

The rumor concerning his exit is the dreaded "domestic assault" charge. Is it true, no idea but there was a lot of chatter about it. There should be a police record to prove one way or another. He has not been that good of a DL to be honest

Well if y'all have been covering it up you can just keep right on covering it up.

He will need to learn the scheme, but DL is not a position where you need to be a genius. So he should contribute pretty quickly.

I think the truth is we didn't see it coming, don't really understand what happened with him, but obviously he wasn't a guy we could build much around following the steep decline last year.

Could be a good pickup, I'm sure we would have liked to keep him even if he wasn't projected to be a key contributor.

He was very similar to Big Kay Bryant.

Mentally soft and not able to push himself to be the best player he can be.

Both guys needed a change of scenery.

Most of the time - history repeats itself but occasionally they find a coach who can push the right buttons.

Hope they both change and both play great since neither UF or UCF is on our schedule this year.

I mean at 6'2 335 he seems like a traditional run plugging 3-4 NT if anything

That’s probably his best chance at contributing.

I’m probably higher on him than a few others on here. He’s a roadblock that will consume double teams and can be dominant in interior run defense. He’s not going to be a big factor in the pass rush and will take plays off from time to time. I would look at him as a very solid depth piece and a great player to have in the third and short/goal line situations.

If Big Kat Bryant was so soft how come he was the captain of your football team? Lol!

It's been known for a long time he was leaving.

AU fans can call him soft and lazy but he would have started for us. We are going to be so thin up front.

Isn't that exactly what Mason needs?

IDK what the deal is with the guy, but maybe he just didn't "buy in"?

We went from 0 depth and huge question marks on our DL to it being one of our deepest and (hopefully) best units thanks to the portal.

Mullen does a great job with the portal. Florida usually always has an excellent DLine. Hate to see you guys get him.

Was she the one that said Auburn was racist because we only picked white guys to be QB?

Exactly. You can never have too many 300LB NTs. Especially when it’s 90+ degrees in September.

If he is a major contributor to your Defense, then UF is not near the level I thought they were. Again, this guy looks like he should be playing in the band instead of on the DL.

He flirted with transferring during the spring as well, but stuck it out, which makes it odd he would come all this way and not finish it up.

I think there are some things between him and Harsin that just don't see eye to eye. I think some has to do with some of the stricter rules and regulations players must follow. Truesdell is by no means a troublemaker or anything like that. He is a great kid, I just think he didn't enjoy how Harsin runs things compared to Gus and mutually parted ways.

He is a big body and hard worker. Pretty strong and can take up a block. Lateral speed is very lacking and you'll get almost nothing pass rush wise from him, but he is a good player.

Out of respect for the young man let’s just say it wasn’t working out and we wish him the best. High standards and discipline now at Auburn. From what I understand, transfer (Tony Fair) is working out nicely and a harder worker than Truesdale. JJ Pegues (6’3.- 308 lb) transferred from offense to defense and can help out. Aubie is going to have a stout defense with outstanding Linebacker and DB play. Aubie did well in the transfer portal.
