I don't get this need by Tennessee fans for LSU to have offered Vitello, it's been 3 years now.

i would rather the coach that beat won the world series against the coach that didn’t have 1 foot out the door.

Like most teams LSU only offers candidates that officially accept

Shame on them. What about the unwritten rule where you don’t take other coaches from within the conference.
Texas is not in the SEC.

Never said that bud, I just stated a fact.

Vitello contacted Laviolette? I wish our coach would do that as well.
I’m pretty sure JJ did contact him bc LSU was listed as a favorite to land him in a couple of articles. He was one of the ones in favor of Early getting the job, so I imagine he’ll pull his name from the portal now.

LSU would have been mental not to do so.
And Jace may indeed end up in BR … who knows?
I’ll raise my glass and wish him the best.
This entire team deserves no less.

Wrong. Tony V. was never offered a job by LSU.
Maybe if you say it enough times, maybe someone might believe you.

He wasn't in 2021 though, which is when LSU made their hire...
But he was! Name 1 coach that has more SEC titles, National Titles, and Wins since 2020? Also been national coach of the year twice now.

Vitello himself said that LSU didn't contact him.
He’s right, they contacted his agent!

Yep. Tony V told them to no thanks.

No one credible ever reported this.
No one other than Tennessee fans has even said it.
It's been three years, why do Tennessee fans need LSU to have wanted their coach?

Like the rising of the sun, LSU claiming they never offered. Stunning.

People like Kendall Rogers report when programs make offers, like he did with A&M offering Vitello.
No one made any such report regarding LSU and Vitello, in fact, the only statement given was by Vitello saying he hadn't been contacted.

Maybe if you say Tony Vitello was offered the LSU job enough times without posting an actual link to a report stating that, someone might believe you.
The only evidence you have that LSU offered Vitello is what some random LSU fans told you at the 2022 Super Regional.

LSU hired Jay Johnson and won their 7th College World Series 2 years later.
They’re doing ok without Vitello.

Vitello was closer to taking the job than anyone would ever imagine. Great coach.
