Lane? He viewed LSU in the lens of 2016 and he thought the 5 stars in state come to LSU without much effort. (He is lazy AF at recruiting). He thought he was too big for the Ole Miss job. Now he gets the pressure that comes along with it.
We all thought he had changed. He is a massive manipulator and had everyone fooled. Everyone now sees it but the state of Louisiana. Or they just don't give a shite because he is their piece of shite.

I like him, he is a really good guy. I think most LSU fans would like him if he they got to know him. I hope he is successful and has a long run at oxpatch. That said, he has an incredible freak of nature at QB, who should win the heisman easily if it’s legimate. So he will get nailed for that until a few years from now.

lol, the delusions are getting difficult to keep straight. You're like Teddy Daniels in Shutter Island. Chambliss couldnt leave, it wouldve complicated his status for eligibility. Plus he was already a nationally recognized starting QB with 1 more year to play. Plus Ole Miss made sure to pay him. Absolutley no reason for him to leave. Same with Lacy, he'll ideally play 1 more year and got to the nfl and was offered bag. No reason to leave.

Looks like Dottery and Princewill combined for 9 tackles and a sack on Saturday. Which also is also not relative to the fact that they were some of the most statistically successful defensive players last year for the rebels.

So Lane was delusional and didn't understand the college football landscape and made a decision he will regret when he realizes he had everything he needed all along. Alright, i guess only time will tell.

Why does him leaving destroy the narrative that he had "changed"? Wasn't the change more about him overcoming alcoholism and spending more time with family and that type of thing?
I didn't watch all of these documentaries so not sure what's being referenced.

That's not the point or the belief. The superteams before NIL didn't win NCs every year. When you get the right players and things fall into place with health and bounces and schedules, you cherish the year. Then it's back to the drawing board to do it again. And when you get the championship trophy, it's forever.

Middle of next season, honestly. If it turns out that he was the magic behind Ole Miss’s success, so be it. I mean, I’d kind of be surprised by that, but so be it. Full disclosure, as an MSU fan, I have nothing but hatred for Ole Miss (as it should be). But Pete seems kinda sorta ok as a person.
Honest question, why does he (and some other coaches I’ve noticed this season) wear a seemingly thick hoodie in August/September games? Is it a good luck thing? I like a good hooded sweatshirt myself, but that’s got to be hot as frick right now. I probably won’t bust one out until December.

Because their fragile egos rely on what people say or write about them. Rather than just playing ball and let the result speak for itself, they desperately want people to like them, write about them, name video games after them. I’ve never witnessed anything like it. You’re now getting outside the point, the point is can Pete Golding actually win big games without a 24-year-old ineligible player who constantly bails him out. We will see, because that defense is not very good.
You can’t judge any coaching move at this point. It’s way too damn early. I don’t know why all the OM fans are so dead set on doing that or any fans in college football for that matter. We beat Saban the first year he came back to Alabama and we all know it happened in due time. I’m not saying that’s what happens here, but you have to let things play out. It’s a long season.

I’m actually pulling for Pete, but I still need to see Ole Miss come out consistently because prior to lsu Ole Miss defense was not good. I know he’s head coach and I don’t know if he is struggling to perform both duties or what but there’s still a lot of meat left in that schedule.
