He's been great.
That said, it's plenty okay to give him a few seasons.
We've seen coaches come in hot before with a good roster and slowly watch it go away.
Chizik and Coker come to mind.
Mullen, a much better coach than the other two, did this with UF.
So, yeah, he needs to do this for a few years.

You can’t judge any coaching move at this point. It’s way too damn early. I don’t know why all the OM fans are so dead set on doing that or any fans in college football for that matter. We beat Saban the first year he came back to Alabama and we all know it happened in due time. I’m not saying that’s what happens here, but you have to let things play out. It’s a long season.

LSU beat Saban his first year at Bama because Saban inherited a program coming off crippling sanctions, and a shite pile of a demoralized roster. Saban went 7-6 that year. 6 teams beat his arse.
But Lane Kiffin? Well he's sitting on top of a 50 million dollar roster, and still couldn't beat a football team, he and his staff knows inside and out. That shite right there is straight up pathetic.
You people need to surrender these dumb talking points. It doesn’t help your cause. Whatever that cause may be.

Louisiana Monroe beat saban that year. Saban also didn’t have the portal to instantly rebuild.

I'll be a believer 100 percent when it is the team he recruited and built via the portal. Not to knock him, he has done exactly what he was supposed to with the situation he inherited.
With respect to Trinidad, Lane had him buried on the depth chart until injuries forced his hand. Sometimes those things just happen...see Stetson Bennett.
But I do want to see if he can maintain success. Having said that from a long term perspective Lane has as much to prove. He has yet to thrive at a program like LSU with that level of pressure and expectation and he has yet to get over the hump and win those big games consistently. People just pencil him in as elite. I'm not convinced.

Can you imagine when he has had more than just a handful of months to actually try to piece this together? With all that talent building consistently.
There are literally 60 new faces on the team. And tons of new faces on the coaching staff. If you guys expected them to come out and be world beaters from day one good for you, but that is not what any normal sane college football fan should believe. No matter how much we paid.

I first noticed it when OM played Louisville. Then I noticed he continued to wear one in Oxford where I know it’s not chilly because I live 30 miles east. Maybe Ole Miss only furnished his wardrobe for last year and he’s super thrifty. I kinda hope he’s a good coach at Ole Miss who always screws up the Egg Bowl ??
