he isnt missing the whole season. he will miss a good amount, but not the whole season. we will lose to bama but other than that we should win the other games on our schedule without manziel and hopefully hes back in time for the LSU game

The replacement would be true Freshman Kenny Hill, redshirt freshman Matt Davis or Junior Matt Joeckel FWIW

and he wont miss the whole season. hell miss probably the first 6 games which means we will lose to bama which sucks but this isnt going to be a gigantic death blow that people are hoping
yall were going to lose 4 games with Manziel playing. Without him yall might only win 4.
Chances that Manziel doesn't play the first game and aTm losses to Rice and becomes the third team to fall from the top 10 to unranked after the first poll?

It really depends on what they find. Like I said, AJ Green got 4 games for $1,000 for a jersey sold. If he really did make as much as they said, he could absolutely be gone for a whole season. It's naive to say otherwise IMO.

has anyone ever been suspended an entire season for this though? you can argue that this is more severe than the other cases, but i dont believe anyone has ever fully missed a season for this

If true, we'll see how solid Sumlin really is

Obviously the freshman don't, but has Joeckel had any significant time under center?

I call BS. He is gone to the NFL after this season even if he doesnt play if a team is willing to draft him in the 1st round. I think a team will.

LMAO. It was only a matter of time.
God gave this guy book smarts and amazing athletic ability
His family gave a super rich comfortable lavish lifestyle with no worries other than making an A on the next test
College football gave him an amazing venue to use his talents which brought him Idol/celebrity status fame and a model girlfriend.
He decides he wants to sell autographs for a few thousand bucks.

Get real. Assuming he was somehow impaired enough to risk throwing away his eligibility for somewhere between $10-$99k (just says "five figures") - you think there's actually a contract? A deposit slip? A witness to the exchange?
For the record, the NCAA isn't a court of law. If they have multiple witnesses that say the exchange of money was agreed to, I suspect that is sufficient when added to the sequentially numbered autographs.

I don't think anyone has been stupid enough to try something so blatantly against the rules while providing so much evidence.
All the autographs are proof he did a massive signing. Why would he do it if he wasn't getting paid? Obviously he doesn't care enough about aTm to do it for their fans

Marcell Dareus got caught up in the North Carolina stuff in 2010. That was a summer long investigation and he still sat for four games.
