Its hard not to get sucked into thoughts like mine. The Aggies have been victim to things like this in the past. Texas controls the media in Texas, so we get painted as though we are country rubes, who harbor bigoted beliefs. All in effect to tarnish our image.

Throw in the 80's and 90's when tu bent us over backwards to have us put on probation.

Granted johnny likes to party like a 20 year old kid(because he is one). But he hasn't done anything any normal kid wouldn't do. And if he has done something wrong in the eyes of the NCAA, it had to have taken a nudge from elsewhere to get things in motion. That's where the bama/tu theories start. They provided the nudge and ESPN is reporting it as directed to by delo$$ and the sips camp. Win win for bama and tu.

You are confusing the definition vs what causes the amateurism status to change.

12.1.2 Amateur status. An individual loses amateur status and thus shall not be eligible for intercollegiate competition in a particular sport if the individual:

(a) Uses his or her athletics skill (directly or indirectly) for pay in any form in that sport;

(b) Accepts a promise of pay even if such pay is to be received following completion of intercollegiate athletics participation;

(c) Signs a contract or commitment of any kind to play professional athletics, regardless of its legal enforceability or any consideration received, except as permitted in Bylaw 12.2.5.1;

And let's skip down to the only one that matters...

(g) Enters into an agreement with an agent

Did He enter into an agreement with an agent?

12.02.1 Agent. An agent is any individual who, directly or indirectly:

(a) Represents or attempts to represent an individual for the purpose of marketing his or her athletics ability or reputation for financial gain; or

Here, JFF is in the clear. He did not enter an agreement with Fitch for the above. Next

(b) Seeks to obtain any type of financial gain or benefit from securing a prospective student-athlete’s enrollment at an educational institution

Has nothing to do with the enrollment process (NEWTON )

or from a student-athlete’s potential earnings as a professional athlete.

Had zero to do with that.

Application:
An agent may include, but is not limited to, a certified contract advisor, financial
advisor, marketing representative, brand manager or anyone who is employed or associated with such persons.

None of that has been met.

-- I’m literally shaking my head. I abhor conspiracy theories and perhaps this is just an ironic coincidence.

Or perhaps not.
The same John M. Phillips that edited the infamous Kristi Malzahn video is the same one that is now trying to broker a deal for pictures of Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel signing merchandise at autograph broker Drew Tieman’s house.

I hope JFF burns... This would really make me happy! And watch A&M crumble.. They might actually cancel the stadium expansion if he doesnt play. There wont be the need to expand for the suckage coming their way

First practice started at 5:30, reports that Manziel is taking all his normal first team reps.

In other, Ricky Seals-Jones is a monster. Checked in at 6'7", 245
