Baylor has a long history of horror on that campus.

Back in March 2001 there was a feral cat named Queso that hung out by the Taco Cabana (hence the name) two of their baseball players shot the cat with a pellet gun, hit it with a golf club and ultimately decapitated it and skinned it.

Two years later in 2003 Baylor basketball player Carlton Dotson murdered teammate Patrick Dennehy

Obviously you all are aware of the 2016 sexual assault lawsuit that led to Ken Starr and Art Briles exile.

I'm not saying Art Briles is a good person far from it but not being at that toxic shitbox arse university would have probably been a pretty good career move for him. I doubt he was encouraging his players to rape coeds as much as turned a blind eye JoePa style which is still evil...

Name me one other school where they have such major frickups in all 3 sports. It's always the religious freakazoids who melt down when they get away from their oppressive homes.

You're too new to the SEC to know about some of the things UAT athletes got away with. Playing the knockout game on campus. Violent assault. On and on.

but connecting dots to Briles from baseball players torturing a feral cat over a decade prior is something.

Do you even read? I connected the dots between excessively religious parents usually are super restrictive on their children and as soon as they get out of the house they go wild and do shite that other children who were allowed to experience the world in smaller doses do not.

Art Briles would have been wise to have left the ship when he still could... He was not the end.

Texas wanted him to interview and Art said he will not interview and he’s either the coach or he’s not

i remember that being reported at the time. It lines up with his arrogance too.

He thought he had the A&M job in the bag in 2008, he didnt even politic for it.

When they hired mike sherman instead, it made him as bitter as they come.

In his last championship game at stephenville before moving on to tech, Briles played a school with Cody Campbell on it. He asked him where he was going to play college ball. Cody hadn't decided yet so bribes talked him into going to tech. What would tech be today without Cody campbell?

I’m willing to bet that guys like Dotson and Dennehy and the football stars of those years weren’t coming from those super religious households. These big names are coming from the same places recruited by other major universities.

But why would Art back out after losing a bowl game?

Cuz he knows Texas is a bad gig. It’s a school with more money than brains and everyone in Austin is soft as frick.

That’s a crutch. Unless you’re morally bankrupt you can do the right thing, even in Waco.

Overly Christian parents made him bring in the Sam ukawhatever his last name was? Can’t believe anything out his mouth. Chris Peterson had to go on national tv to correct him lying about knowing of sexual assault cases. The guy is trash. Crazy all the Texass rape apologist bc he was a good coach

Yes, the sip just wanted to slander Christian parents even though it was the fricked up mercenary athletes doing those things.

It does bring a smile to my face to know Briles gave the horns the finger.

Did you even read the story? I would be pissed if my school just hired a coach making a big leap without even talking to him in person over a sit down

Briles has been known to be very arrogant and a huge ego. It doesn’t surprise me at all. It’s amazing people still defend him thinking he’s a big man of God and didn’t know anything.

The only reason why he backed out at the end of the bowl game was his team lost to UCF. I still don't get why that was the reason for backing out of the Texas HC job.

It’s an arrogant move and short sighted to tell one of the most high on themselves admin and boosters you are too good to do something as simple as interview or sit down to have a relationship. If true he is stupid and didn’t deserve the job
