As the SEC teams who have seen this Georgia team up close and personal, what does Auburn have to do to beat Georgia this weekend?

Why would we ask teams that clearly don’t know

Because that is the company you keep.

Plainsmen lose 5 in a row.

Bring this man out of retirement and add him to the roster.

Hope everyone on every string is exposed and can’t play so they have to forfeit.

I've watched GA a couple times, and listened to the Arkansas game while on the road. The radio crew (out of Athens) could not fathom why Arkansas only rushed three and dropped eight in the first quarter - and they were stunned when the Hogs went back to it in the second half.
I think, on offense, you have to make your team understand that a punt is not a bad thing against this defense. They've shown, time and again, that their defense can outscore your offense if you screw around and turn the ball over. A punt is OK. Turnovers are not - it either gives them a short field or costs you a chance at three points that you need like a hog needs slop.
On defense ? I'd play two deep, man tight, stack the run, and make them beat me with medium passes down a long field. And hope like Hell for a couple turnovers. Because it's entirely possible my offense won't see the end-zone.

Offense only scored 31 points. That is why they did it. Theoretically, it kept the game closer than us throwing over the top like we did against UAB, South Carolina, and Vandy. With 8 in coverage, we took 0 shots.

Auburn doesn't stand a chance. Bama may change my mind in a few weeks but Georgia is the best team in the country right now IMO.

I think this works to a degree. The problem is, Arkansas didn’t commit any turnovers, but they punted on every possession but two the whole game (missed FG and possession that ended the 4th).
You definitely have to avoid mistakes, but you’re going to have to find something against this defense that no one has found yet, which is probably going to involve taking some chances.

That’s a pretty solid analysis.

Get a time machine and go back in time, recruit better.
* We did score more than the others combined

Here's why I came up with it - tell me what you think.
IIRC - the first two GA drives started from around midfield, Arkansas stayed pinned to their own goal line pretty much the entire first quarter. Then they played that Drop Eight and GA just ran, ran, ran. Then Arky gets a punt blocked and it's pretty much game over.
Once Arky canned the drop eight in the second quarter, they at least stopped the GA run. Then they came right back out with it after halftime, wore down the defense, and gave up those touchdowns in the fourth quarter.
I think you have to assume, against GA, that your offense won't generate much in points, yards, or time of possession. I think that means you have to gamble to try and three and out GA as much as possible. Don't let them pile up time of possession, or they'll hammer you on the ground - both during the last half of the second quarter, and pretty much the entire fourth.

The problem is, I don’t know that that works if JT Daniels is healthy, because then Georgia can go bombs away with Burton and Mitchell like we did against South Carolina.
Georgia’s offense isn’t anywhere near as good as the defense, but they’re still good enough to beat you multiple ways.
I think you have to create pressure and try to force Daniels or Bennett into mistakes. You are right about the running game though. If Georgia runs the ball like they did against Arkansas against anyone, go ahead and turn out the lights.

I don't know either - Daniels is quite a step up.
Not trying to jinx the Dawgs in any way - this is the best GA team I've seen since Herschel Walker, and the best defense I've seen since Stallings group at Alabama that put all eleven starters on NFL rosters. Honestly - the only thing I'd be nervous about if I were a GA fan would be the coaching staff getting too conservative.
I do know this - Kentucky can't beat 'em. Kentucky may not make a first down until after halftime.

If Georgia plays as well as they can, I fear no one but Alabama. I’m just holding my breath hoping we continue to play this way
Yeah, I just don’t see Kentucky putting up points on Georgia. I also don’t think they’ll be prepared for the environment of Sanford Stadium, especially if it’s at night. It’s becoming a house of horror for visitors on par with any other stadium in the country.
