I'm surprised they want him tbh. He was barely keeping LSU's head above water even before he got run out of town for being a cheat. And now there's NIL so he doesn't even have that advantage. Pretty unimpressive coach. Arkansas could do better.

Strangely his name seems to be fading out of serious discussions. Fans want him but now the ones in the know are saying Tang. I just don't understand our administration. Hopefully they're all wrong but it wouldn't be the first time Yurachek fricked up a negotiation and disappointed everyone.

Will Wade would not say no and we could get him cheap. But Yurachek likes to add in non-compete clauses and high buyouts. He doesn't budge from it. Definitely could frick that one up too. Who knows at this point.

It literally is, go look his records up those last few years.

You should go check out some of their old game threads too. The guy is not exactly an X's and O's savant. A really ugly brand of basketball.

I'd like to see the style of play his team had this year at a school with the type of talent Arky can get. Would be a very uncomfortable team to play.

You don't want Wade.Everybody wins a VCU. A clown could coach that program to the NCAA tournament.McNeese, total luck this year.
With LSU's rich basketball history and talent rich basketball state for recruiting, 4 stars, 5 stars, lining up really from all over the country to play for LSU, just like Shaq did. He only won 1 SEC title and LSU only went to the NCAA Tournament a few times..in a row...4....he could get to the Sweet 16...never even an Elite 8...ridiculous..... you don't want someone that underachieves like that. Arkansas could do a lot better, they need to look elsewhere, somebody that has a proven track record and much better character. I heard some players actually signed before even speaking with some of their future professors at LSU.

I know it’s rumored that this is part of the reason Beard stayed at Ole Miss but this isn’t a bad stance to take.

Truth. He only had LSU as the winningest program in the SEC over a 5 year span when Arkansas, Auburn, Tennessee, and Bama were also playing at elite levels.

He did it with Kiffin too. It's not a bad stance but he has to realize, this is a business and you have to follow the trends and give in a little.

They were 9-9 in conference and heading towards a complete collapse his last year. Treading water at best.

Really unimpressive resume.

Your resume is unimpressive. I see here that you put “custodial technician” instead of janitor.

If you mean I feel pity for you and your meager janitorial salary, then yes.

anyway will wade was in fact 9-9 in conference his last year, continuing a multi year trend of decline after the strong start. before he was fired in disgrace for cheating and bribery.

those are the facts

Not when you take into account the complete lack of support our AD gives the MBB program. Wade accomplished more in a shorter amount of time than any MBB coach in program history. He had us in the Sweet 16 in his second year after inheriting an absolute mess. 4 straight postseason appearances in the NCAA tournament. He is a tireless recruiter, markets the program well and does an outstanding job of scheduling to posture the team for the postseason. He would kill it at a place like Arkansas that actually supports its program. I hope they make the mistake of not hiring him.

a tireless recruiter? he was caught blatantly cheating. and now there’s nil. not an argument in his favor.
