Since pre-World War II, it would definitely be a race between him and Jack Crowe. We’re coming off the worst 6 year stretch in our programs history in that era.

Time will tell on Chad, but I like the hire. I think he will be a better coach than Gus with a similar scheme, but he has a better passing concepts than Gus.

Chad will have the offense humming year one... It's not terribly complex for an O to pick up.

Chad was one of the top high school coaches in Texas before going to Tulane... He isn't just a one trick pony O coordinator... He understands how to run a program. College is a different world from high school, but there are things that translate, especially with the big time Texas programs.

His defenses will struggle if he runs a lot of HUNH. You will see some Big 12 types of scores against the bottom half of the SEC.

He doesn't have the IT factor like Dabo does with recruits, but he knows the right way to build a program. He is also a very smart guy... Look for him to rely on a lot of analytics.

TLDR... Solid hire, could have them winning 7-9 games consistently.

If you honestly think those kids could have committed to any of the schools they "passed up" to play at Arky,

Well of COURSE none of them had committable offers from any other SEC schools, I mean, if they did, they wouldn't commit to Arkansas, amirite?

After having the worst coach in Arkansas history and blowing records away year after year in a negative way. All we can do is get better. I feel the fear setting in on Aggie nation. Enjoy your little 6 year run against the Hogs. Chadillac will get us right

You telling me Aggies hired a new coach and he will be the same or worst than the last head coach? So you are saying Arky hired the better coach than the Aggies and Arky will be rank higher than the Aggies in a couple of years in football? I am not sure about that. What about MIZZOU? Will MIZZOU fall behind Arky as well? Is it because Aggies and MIZZOU are former Big 12 teams?

He was saying that we can only go up from Bert who was our worst coach in history. He also knows when to use worse vs worst unlike you, you fricking idiot.

Well when someone takes a sentence or two and spins them into something completely different and while doing so shows he doesn’t even know the most basic of word forms, I do find it utterly pathetic.

Let me add, since he kind of went there- the Aggies and Mizzou football teams are not something that any sane person would aspire for their own team to be. So, that part was a laugh. I’m not saying you both suck always, just who wants to be you? No one.

And to be totally confession-like, Jimbo seems like a used car salesman to me.

You do remember when we were top 5 in the country within the last decade?

Lots of wishful thinking in this thread

Congrats on busting nuts over recruiting rankings.

Somehow shitty recruiting rankings won 21 games in 2 year when we had a coach worth a shite.

Go log into Rivals and rub it out dorko.

If my choices were A&M, Mizzou, and Arkansas, they would go in that order.

Dude you can't troll a program at absolute rock bottom.

We dont GAF.

Sailing on.

I mean next year will be rough. But it seems really premature for people to be dissing the hire already.

I mean, it can't get worse, right?

The biggest issue is that Chad runs an uptempo offense and having chief at D means they’ll be just like A&M except...Arky hasn’t proven in a long time to be able to get the quality of recruits needed to compete.

Look at A&M - I don’t think Chad can have that good of classes comapred to what Summy got....so I see less success for tFlagship than what A&M accomplished under Rumlin
