Personally, I don't like the fact that dog mascots (or other animal mascots) aren't allowed at games in Fayetteville.
Razorbacks ARE animals and animals are cool.

Of course we played a little Straight for all the SWC that year (All my exes live in Texas).
Perfect!
I tried to find the last tu vs. NU game on youtube as I thought Texas had something "special" for that one, but came up blank. I probably had it backwards, along with the decade.

I also like Stanford's band but as a spectator, there's a few traditional black colleges and universities that are my favorite.
Impossible to beat the SWAC. And unlike the curmudgeons here with their apparently-awful bands, the crowd loves 'em. Me too.

Our last game against them, the halftime was on youtube. The band did their thing while the announcer went on and on how Arkansas weren't Texans (no shite), and how them going to SEC didn't mean a thing, the SWC would be as strong for decades to come.

Bring the folks you want to 'recognize' out pregame, between 1st/2nd or 3rd/4th quarters.
Not like there's not plenty of time between them now that every game is on TV.
More people would prefer to see the bands than those folks anyway.

Their announcer said the SEC was the Saddam Hussein of college football.

I nearly had a coronary when I found out the LSU band wasn't making the trip to Seattle. Enough of us bitched at the AD and they ended up sending the band after all.
We love the band at LSU but it's for the music and not the marching. I get that the Aggies are different (hardly the only way) and don't feel it's worth sending the band in any form if they can't march. That's too bad but that's your choice just like it's Arkansas' choice not to allow y'all to march.

Gotta love Texans.

That 1990 Arkansas team was pretty damn awful though. Started the season #15 and finished the season 1-7 in the SWC and 3-8 overall.

Umm... yeah, that's what happens when you give the HC job to the OC instead of going out and hiring a HC.
The timing wasn't great, about a week before NSD, IIRC.

We've all already seen the Aggie band up here, dating back many years. And we'll see them next year in Arlington. And the year after that, and the year after that....
...and they'll be playing the same songs, and marching in the same formations.

I have no particular love for aTm's band, but I think it's pretty shitty of the UofA also.

tBeacon does not do shitty things. We were morally obligated not to expose their dog to possible ear damage and to not expose Arkansas children to homoerotic marching.

You better report back to the Hog team board.
They don't tolerate heresy well.

In all seriousness, some of y'all truly need to grow up w the homo stuff. It's lame.
I understand that it's the ultimate argument ... The final resort of smack ... but it's far from the reality.
Think for yourselves & don't fall inline w all you read from other pre-pubescent posters.
