I like championships and money too; the SEC has its share of both.
Across the board, Texas A&M teams are doing better now than ever.
Football is an exception, but we’re workin’ on that.
Academics ... no struggles here.

We’ll just have to agree to disagree on the rest.
Suffice it to say, the intangibles of the SEC blow away the B12’s.
I’ve experienced both, and it’s not close.

Good talk.

2. Pageantry. I guess road games are nice. But most home fans in the SEC are as rude to visitors as any other conference.

I disagree, I think my SEC fans like to think we a “rough places to play” but that is for the team. Most of our fan bases, in my limited experience, are very good hosts to visitors. I’ve been to BDS, VHS, Tiger Stadium, and WBS and have been treated very, very well at all. In 2007 when I went to Baton Rouge I was definitely treated better before the game than after, but even then it wasn’t poor treatment or “fear” so much as a fan bases losing to a team they didn’t like very much. They though they had lost their chance at a championship game and didnt know the stars were about to align for the result of that game to be meaningless.

I’m a friendly, knowledgeable fan of multiple sports and I’ve been received well at every SEC sports venue I’ve ever visited and I’ve received many visiting fans well at my home stadium. That having been said, the only non-SEC stadium I’ve ever been to was in Norman OK and they weren't playing the Hogs I just went with a friend from OKC. There were almost no visiting fans there for a projected blowout of an OOC game, so basically not a reference at all.
