Each has won a Big 3 National Championship.
Texas A&M - 1939 football
Missouri - 1954 baseball
Arkansas - 1994 basketball
Which program is most likely to win a Big 3 NC next, and what sport?

Almost subtle enough, almost.

Georgia is still running on your poor, dirt farming arse

Most likely would be Arkansas baseball. 2nd is A&M football

77-0 still has a greater scar on the Aggies.
Since OU lost to Aggy in the Cotton Bowl, Sooners have won 3 XII titles and made 2 CFP appearances. Meanwhile, Aggy has yet to accomplish much since Johnny Canada.

Why does Oklahoma have more players on its roster from The Great State than from Oklahoma?
If I was an Okie tax-payer, that’d be a bitter pill to swallow.
Or does Oak State just pull the better in-state kids?

You shouldn’t be worried since you never lo$$ in-state recruiting battles to OU, correct?

Not worried at all, mate.
Just genuinely curious.
Maybe our Texas HS coaches could offer a coaching clinic to the OK HS coaches?
We are neighbors, after all.

To answer your question OU has always recruited Texas well. OU almost always has recruited well nationally. Yes a State with less than 4M population does typically produce less D1 recruits than a state with more than 28M. So no reason NOT to recruit Texas.
So why do you think A&M had to go to the SEC-money? Shouldn’t be better competition since they didn’t regularly win the Big XII anyway.

We didn’t “have to go to the SEC;” we wanted to.
Have wanted to for decades.
Culture, pageantry, growth for our program ... name a metric, and the SEC variable was better for us.
So when they extended the invitation, it was a no-brainer—like finally coming home, really.

Because we were invited?

Wow. We come from 2 totally different fan bases. I can only think of 3 meaningful things about conference affiliation:
1. Championships (conference and getting your team in a position for national).
9. Money. Because you can’t sustain championships without getting top recruits without having top facilities.
10. Conference-level prestige (educational), then to a lesser extent athletic. Sure you need the teams you play against to be competitive, but how does chanting SEC get YOUR team any better.
Back to your reasons:
1. Culture. You go to A&M, not Bama. Unless you want to go to grad school somewhere else in conference or hope that a future employer is an “SEC” fan, I just don’t get it.
2. Pageantry. I guess road games are nice. But most home fans in the SEC are as rude to visitors as any other conference. You also don’t get to claim Bama’s football/Kentucky’s basketball hardware when all you do is lose or play competitively to them.
3. Growth for your program. I know it’s only been 6 years, at what point will you start having tangible results? I don’t follow A&M recruiting (obviously), but has signees from other SEC states picked up? Obviously Texas is now more heavily recruited by the SEC than before.
