I actually understand State more than aTm if they didn’t have to pay much to fire Arnett. He’s a good fit. We basically have to keep Pittman for another year so that other potential coaches have less fear about being terminated mid-season, unrealistic expectations, etc. what’s disappointing about Pittman is that he appears to have just gotten lazy after he won 8 games and a bowl, hired Jimmy Sexton and got a massive raise and buyout(don’t know why we did this after 1 decent and not even great season), and he’s very likeable. But likeable doesn’t win all of those one score losses that Pittman has or provide answers to legitimate questions that he’s not capable of answering. He helped get our dumpster fire to smoldering but this year, he’s apparently decided to dump diesel on it. And if you haven’t seen our OL, check them out.. Y’all can have him back - any team with linemen as good as UGA is going to make a decent/good position coach like Pittman look elite if the program is run well overall and the players have bought in(two things we lack).

I don’t think most would mind at this point if it gets them a new coach.

My diehard Ark coworker said “I hope you kill us so they fire Pittman.” He has never said that and we’ve played some bad Ark teams.
