It was a great series for 10 years. It was a great 10 years. Arkansas was a legitimate top 5 program in the country. Frank Broyles was a legend. The 1969 game was an all time classic, helping to usher in the age of television to college football.
Outside of that it's only meant something to Arkansas fans.
Texas fans genuinely want to see OU and A&M lose every game. Who cares how Arkansas does? We've never cared outside of the 60s, even when Arkansas was good. But the Texas game is a jihad for them.

Every team likes to say “we are Arkansas’ Super Bowl”. It’s not really true except for Texas.
We don’t care if you don’t care about us. We don’t have any jilted lover/unloved family member dynamics with Texas like Aggie does.
Our hatred is pure. It’s consistent. Unadulterated hate and disdain. No mixed feelings. We don’t care what our or your record is. All we know is frick you. And I hope Arkansas gas stations don’t fill up your cars with Texas plates after the games like they did back in the 60s and 70s.
