You should really refrain from posting anymore today if you can't see a difference playing football on a scholarship and taxation without representation or states rights.
Yours has to be the dumbest post of the season. Congrats.

What's wrong with taking out a student loan. I racked up my fair share while in school just to get by. They would easily pay them off with their signing bonuses.

Good for them. Still doesnt mean they have no right to be paid for their services.
The whole idea of amateurism is bullshite. Once college moves to the Olympic model it will be better off.
Hey buddy its not a service. Its a choice by them to attend college and play football.

It's not free if they're giving something in return, dipshit. And what they're getting in return is not nearly proportionate to what some of them are giving their respective programs.
So how the frick would you go about doing this then oh great and powerful Oz? Start cutting college kids incentive based contracts? That would be awesome.

Wow
Is it the NCAA's fault or the NFL's? I mean, the NFL could just waive the college requirement like the NBA. Point the finger somewhere else buddy. Besides, college football give these guys a chance to showcase their talent.

Yes, but we all have to admit that the time of amateurism has passed. This is too much of a cash cow for the schools, the conferences, the NCAA, the major networks for it to be considered anything close to amateur sports.
I think it may be time to consider disbanding the NCAA and have colleges operate football teams as a minor league model or something. This can't keep going on.
Either college sports have to go away for good, or some major change is needed.

Unfortunately for you I do. I can see your pea-brain clicking a rational for both. Either way you've surpassed every moron to post on this board since last season.
Congrats you just won Alabama another championship - The gold medal in the Moron Poster Olympics

You are quite likely the least intelligent person who's ever posted in this forum.
Props on that stellar achievement.

How come the schools and conferences making money suddenly became a bad thing?
"Oh my god, whatever we do, we can't generate any revenue. That would be horrible"

I don't think universities should pay players. I think players should be able to go do their own thing (signing with agents, doing commercials, doing autograph signings, etc.)
This is the Olympic model. The old Olympic model was like the NCAA, players couldn't take money in any way, but the Olympics found that impossible to enforce and outdated and they scrapped it.
The NCAA needs to adopt the Olympic amateurism model. The Universities themselves do not pay the players. Players can independently on their own go make revenue if they have the ability to and so choose.
