@Lanelsu83, How are you holding up now that S5 Episodes 1-6 are now only the third highest rated of the series first six episodes?

S5E7 is now the lowest rated episode of the series and this season is so far the lowest rated season.

Good question. She's only come out to one person on screen and that's Steve. We don't know if she came out to the rest.

When she was talking to Will on the radio tower she said something along the lines that he was only the second person she told.

Episode 7 was a 8.1 ratings on IMDb till yesterday at noon. Next thing you know 12,000 1 out of 10 star votes appear

Pretty much everywhere you look that episode is being widely pinned for various reasons.

The overall lazy writing for this last season is embarrassing.

So far, with all 7 episodes averaged, season 5 is rated better than season 2 only.

He knows this already. That’s why he keeps mentioning just the first six episodes

The first 6 episodes are the highest rated from all the seasons

How is the rating for the first 5 episodes? What about the first 2?

Again, people are watching now to see how it ends being that they have waited a decade for it. The question will be how much staying power the show has once the finale airs. Netflix is banking on people watching this over and over again. For that to happen they really need to nail the finale. If it’s a dud then people probably aren’t going to do rewatches down the road like they do with Harry Potter movies, The Sopranos etc.

I would venture to say many people are hoping they can pull off a great ending next week, but are also skeptical after the latest episodes.

Plus IMDB will always be a better indicator between the 2.

I love how you just used the average of first 6 episodes when we have 7 out. Episode 7 is so far rated the 2nd worst episode all time on IMDB. Only worse than S2E7. When factored in this is only the 3rd highest rated first 7 episodes of the series, trailing Seasons 1 and 4. I’m sure those ratings will also drop on IMDB as more reviews post.

ITS THE HIGHEST RATED FIRST 6 EPISODES OF ANY STRANGER THINGS SEASON ACCORDING TO THE FANS ON IMDB WHO WATCH THE SHOW

And yet it’s the lowest rated season yet on Rotten Tomatoes, and by a wide margin.

Lanelsu83C, people are watching because they have been following this show for a decade. It doesn’t mean that the writers did a great job finishing it up. So far it’s been very underwhelming. Hopefully they saved everything for the finale, but confidence for that is not high.
Lol, well at least we know someone here will keep there Netflix subscription and rewatch this every month.

Oh yeah. Huge loss for Netflix. Most streaming show EVER ALL TIME. I honestly don’t know how Netflix will recover from this. When the numbers coming out next and it broke its own record again.

It’s going to get big numbers now. But for the investment Netflix put into it the question is do people stream it in 6 months, or 2 years from now. And I think that’s going to be a big no.

Right now is kind of like a movie having a huge opening weekend. But for the studio to make money they need weeks 2+ to also be strong for the movie.

yup the show has been very inconsistent and I’m just ready for it to end

Yeah big loss for Netflix. They will get the views right now because everyone is already vested in how it all ends. But the rewatchability of this has fallen off a cliff and that is where Netflix will feel it.

The look from season 4 to season 5 holly is normal and I would have never noticed unless people consistently bitching on the Internet.

It’s a different actress in season 5 vs seasons 1-4, how would you not have noticed??

The issue is that now it appears the writers are just winging it instead of having a cohesive story planned out. If not then why not have Holly a little older when the show started?
If the university investigated this in the summer and she denied any relationship at that time I would think the university would be covered.
