Pretty vast disparity here in who you list as a bad person.
Seems like lots of those are unproven or were never charged as well but I like it as a starting point

In general, people that rise to the absolute top of very competitive fields make of lot of being a good guy concessions along the way.
Many hone the skill of coming off like a 'good guy' pretty well though. Some don't even care about it.

This is true. Most of the winners are pretty terrible people. The losers tend to be nice guys.
